tire rack nearly done.....no ladder along with so could not attach the top........... 10'6" tall x 14' wide......... 4 tiers should hold about 100 tires
cieling height (beyond all obstructions) is only 11' 9"......... so about a full foot shy of enough room for a 5th tier
one bench made, was done first to get me up off the ground to work on the tire rack........ knees already ached from kneeling on the concrete
both the bench and the tire rack are now afixxed to the walls....... Still have to bring a real top for the work bench and build one more smaller one to this ones left after the tool box is shoehorned between them both, likely to be less than 5' wide for the other workbench area....
I will also do a couple of shelves above the workbench on that entire wall but won't utilize all the wall as I do not want to climb over or on the bench to get things
there is other wall space for more "stuff"
but yeah now you can kinda sorta see the piss poor lighting in the front half of the shop space----look at the side of the truck.........or even to the left side of the tire rack........... only good lighting is really that back area and though it is missing 2 of the bulbs back there- it is pretty decent back there, going to have to see if they will add a few more lights in other areas
and they did say I could paint (winter work I suppose)

and the key to the door is super fussy......... took about 3 minutes of playing with it to finally get the door open....uggg
No floor scrubbing yet, but it appears to be polished concrete under the grime..... since I was upclose and personal with the concrete for several hours
and those automatic hallway lights........ they are slow to turn on--motion sensors are down the hall, and they are very quick to shut back off, I went down to the bathroom to wash my hands when done before leaving and wasn't in the bathroom more than 1 minute and all the ligths were already off....... You end up going a couple of steps in pure darkness before the lights turn on, that is fun in the back hallway full of huge waterpipes and pointy bolt heads and "stuff" on the floor right out my door.......

I did load a 10' tall step ladder in the truck this am........... lol
may just see if the timer is adjustable and then aim the one more "up the hall" instead of more at the floor......... may effect the neighbors unit then though and shoot right over them????

Aim sounds like a first come first served deal, to me….. it’s clearly out of whack as it is.
Extra lighting, I’m seeing a lot more industrial LED panel setups coming out. On a rental I couldn’t see spending the money unless I couldtake them with me on exit

Pushed the sensor up maybe 10* higher aim, but with the neighbors door literally right under the sensor it will likely not pick them up at all now until they walk several steps......... but it picks me up still within arms reach of my door
got the second bench made and now there is a 56 3/4 space between the two (1/4" more than the width of my tool box)
wish me luck shoving in the opening when only two of the wheels rotate and it will be full of all the tools when I take it there)
got my bookshelves moved but none of the service manuals yet
space between the tire rack and the bookshelf leaves me enough room for 3 lifts and space between each and the sides of 3'.......... a little bit tight but I am going to run with it and see how it works out......... if too tight the bookcases will be moved to open up more room and I won't worry about the hallway door access much
locksmith arrived on time and after a couple minutes of fiddle fucking around he pulls out a hand file and removes his glasses and draws a few strokes over 3 of the 4 keys and then sprays some lube in the locks and walla, 3 of the keys work great, the 4th does open anyhting and doesn't even look like the other keys at all-- he says I should throw that one away and go get copies made of the other keys
umm..... aren't you a locksmith???? you can't copy the keys you made????????
and then the landlord drops off the sink on the floor as I was about to leave.........
and I get back to work and put some carbs together, post cleaning.promptly layed down and took a nap shortly therafter
god I feel old........... I NEED a nap in the middle of the afternoon......... uggg

those two 4 gang boxes over the workbenches
another 4 gang and 2 gang near where the tire machine and balancer will be (behind the leaning plywood stack in post 1022 or post 1020 and see the raw empty space in full)-- I absolutely need to get more light over that area to see better
Two 2 gang boxes over along the wall nearer where the compressor will go and where bikes will be lined in front of for "storage".... (so mostly worthless without an extension cord, but the big 30" fan will always be going off one of those)
Then another 2 gang between the compressor and the OHD.... these outlets will be used for the parts cleaner and ultrasonic parts cleaner- both will be right next to the OHD
and I think there is one more 2 gang on the opposite of the OHD between the mandoor and the OHD
but yes, there is minimal electrical, but I think enough for my purposes..........
the fuse box is out in the hall by the bathroom....so one whole garage bay between me and it.. and it would mean running conduit to pull wires through as all the existing conduit is tiny and already has more wire inside than I bet code allows........ ie- my 240v 10ga for the compressor also has 3 other 12 ga wires in there for the other two 20A 120v outlets... so 7 wires inside a 1/2" metal conduit
I still have to figure out where my suspension bench is going to go........... it is a ss countertop with a ss sink that drains into a 5 gallon bucket with a suspension vice etc........ uggg (maybe on the end of the tire rack? near where the tire machine is going)
It could be freestanding I suppose, but I have it mounted to an even bigger workbench that is attached to one of the walls with my 20T hydraulic press at the opposite end of that so it is rigid if I have to really work the vice (it has been in my basement along with the majority of the tires forever.... I will be very excited to get all of my basement back.......... a full 1/3 or more of it is motorcycle work stuff and it was inconvenient before being sub 1 mile away, now it would be 17 miles away and way too inconvenient to "run there quick and do something or get something and run back")
I am just looking forward to everything being in a single location.....even if the office stuff and computer will be upstairs and a bit inconvenient for some quick parts look up or the service manuals on a CD or in the computer--- cloud memory storage so internet needed to see
Which will also suck for all the Power commander files I have stored on that "work desktop computer" instead of the portable laptop I actually use to do the programming and changes when doing remote work
old set up I could run the 50' cord from the main computer to the bike and go.....when I needed something more portable..... then the laptop (like at the track or remote dyno location) but then would transfer everything onto the main computer
Anyways......... no trip up there today

breakfast just me and my dad, then did some other stuff together
and tonight it'll be My brother and his family, sister and her husband, my dad and myself for dinner and some slides and likely play some cards too.....
So I only had this 6ish hour window and decided to use it buttoning up the R6 toilet and typing up his $2300ish bill
tires, tune, carb rebuild, fork rebuild, chain and sprockets, battery etc......... it really should be much closer to $3k I think....... especially considering it is over $1100 in parts alone
but thankfully he came to his senses and agreed to do the chain and sprockets, which of course I did not have sprockets for it on hand......... and suplliers were either cheap chineseum, or wait, or buy Supersprox top of the line sprockets at $150 for the pair....... I chose the wait and they just arrived about 20 minutes ago.......

It would be very good to know what receptacles are on which breaker in that panel (how many amps continuous).
Some stuff you have is going to be used far less time wise, and could be ganged together as it won’t all be on at the same time…
I’d expect some of the heavy duty equipment is similar. Not all the time and not at the same time.

^ The ultrasonic cleaner is a huge draw......... start up it is right on 19.4a.......... but even running when the heater is heating up continuously it is 15.8a (once solution temp is 150* and I shut off the heater it draws less than 10a, but that takes about 45 minutes)
that is the only item I worry about tripping a breaker especially if it is on a joined circuit with anything else drawing anything
nothing else even draws 10a sans the Air compressor which is on a 30a breaker and doesn't even draw 20a at start up, but it on its own circuit.....
Everything is tied together in some way shape or form....but nope I have not opened the fuse box to see how it is labelled or how my shop outlets are tied or untied I just know they ran home runs for the compressor and those 2 20a outlet boxes ear it...so those atleast are on their own (or the assumption is they are on their own)

6 mile scuff them in ride on the R6 and it finally departed......... guy was apologetic and said " I am sorry I did not act in a christian way" as he paid 100 more than the total balance actually was.......

likely the last bike to leave current spot as in ........ being completed and picked up by customer
hallways behind my unit (the notched out area to the immediate left is the door opening to my unit)
and I started moving service manuals up........... 5 boxes so far about 3 more boxes to go, then to start moving all the hard parts
cleaned off the one 13' long shelf I had above my tool box area (those boxes under the bench)
took the shelf and brackets all down- but only had the shitbox saturn today so a quick run up to drop off that shit and return no shelf hauled in that.......
Saturn was definitely overweight- could feel it driving.......hate to ever have four grown ass adults in it---gheesh....
time to get committed and start truly moving the masses of stuff............ ugggg
already feel the burn of what will be 50+ trips up and down the stairs... followed by likely 30 trips up and down the ladder to put them in the tire rack.................. lol be leg day today I guess......

I believe code minimum is 36" and that point would come where those pipes stick out and to the corner of the wall since they do come out even or slightly into the actual hall and not just in my door opening area
So the hall itself is likely more than 42" wide............. My only use for it, will be to head upstairs or to head to the bathroom....... hopefully never carrying anything more than a drink, paperwork and/or the laptop.............. maybe clean clothes over to the shower ????.................................. hopefully nothing needs to go down the hall like a bike or engine etc....
The customer........ he seemed a bit excited to finally be able to ride it again after a 7 year absense......... that said he is a totaly squid, zero gear....well sunglasses, and he thinks you need to twist the throttle a ton while starting it........ and when he did finally try and ride away- killed it twice then burned on the clutch the third attempt as to not kill it again.......... perhaps he should have let it warm up for more than 2 seconds or put the choke on and let it idle at more than 1100 rpms stone cold no temp reading before riding away......... fucking idiot.....
but yes the way in which he apologized and his exact choice of words........ a little offputting "christian way"....... how about just being a decent human way??????????
anyways........... going to the casino for some BBQ ribfest thing Friday night..........maybe I will use his $100 and gamble it away or turn it into something more than the $100????????
maybe better idea still would be just go buy all the lotto tickets I can with that 100 for this multi million dollar prize Friday night

There sure is a lot I could do with 300 million.......... like go build on my own 19.8 acre land exactly what I want including a 8' tall fence surrounding the entire property with razor wire all along the top and while at it, electrify the entire thing....fuck intruders ---the gate will always be closed and locked....entry is limited to me and only me...........lol
and go build some commercial building smewhere for the business....... I could buy my out of the lease I just signed....
make something about 8000sf all inclusive......... that would be awesome!!!!!!
Damn the costs of building materials, wouldn't give any fucks what it cost, there would be so much money I wouldn't need to care if it costs 1 million or if it costs 10 million or if it all cost 50 million (realistically what I want for a house is likely sub 300k even with todays inflated materials costs-- which is likely what my house would sell for if not more)
Then I think I would need some new vehicles......... ditch the saturn, keep the truck and mustang- but add a couple more "daily drivers" to the mix and add a few more motorcycles and maybe something with over 1200hp to the wheels just for that rare occassion I want to go beat up on some hellcats, camaros and mustangs, and all those fucks in their electric shitboxes that think they have something special
reality check........... never winning the lottery never going to spend tens of millions on "stuff" in a few weeks time......
I'd still go to work, but it would totally be a light schedule and very select few jobs for an even more selective clientel

Well someone won the lottery but it wasn't me.............
I did buy $20 of tickets, not a single dollar returned to me
Went to ribfest and spent about $125 on ribs, chicken and a $10 lemonade...............uggg
$20 for a half rack x4, $5 for a single roasted corn on the cob, $15 for a 1/4 chicken, $13 for some sort of cobbler/ice cream dessert.............. was stuffed until dinner time the next day
It was followed up by a concert with Pat Benatar where I was able to stand within 20' of her......but the music was so loud and "distorted" you could hardly hear her voice or the words........uggg
I moved back to the bleacher area and even with my ear plugs in there it was still too loud and distorted
maybe 6 songs in they gave away a signed guitar then I departed back to the casino only to piss away another $40 with zero return.......
So about $450 (with room) spent on what was only about 13 hrs of total time there.............uggg..... pretty expensive dinner and a show really....
As far as the ribs go;
The Arkansas ones were by far the best tasting
both the Texas ones were mostly flavorless and the sauce blah
the other one, the last one we tried........... so vinegary it wasn't even pleasant to eat them, and I had thought of throwing them away but pushed through them.....
~10 total RIBS vendors there selling ribs etc...... only tried the 4 of them, just stuffed when done
~the lemonade stand was a fucking joke, they were hand cranking the machine to make the lemondae (so truly fresh squeezed) but the cups were full of ice, and so was the cup they originally filled from the machine, then they would pour that cup into the waiting ice filled cup............. the 64 ounce cup was likely really only about 20 ounce of lemonade, the rest ice......and it took a couple minutes per cup, so a line 10 deep when I got there was nearly 30 minutes before I got up to get a glass........... I bought the 32 ounce cup and said no ice!
they did sell a $41 lemonade.said it was 128 ounces
~ the dessert vendor.......nearly no line and about 6 different choices of desserts hot and cold and you could add ice cream or not, get it heated or not, add toppings or not........... $10 for the cobbler, $3 to get it alamode...$13 and it was good
summary, should have just gotten the chicken and ribs from the Arkansas vendor and the dessert and called it a day!

~the lemonade stand was a fucking joke, they were hand cranking the machine to make the lemondae (so truly fresh squeezed) but the cups were full of ice, and so was the cup they originally filled from the machine, then they would pour that cup into the waiting ice filled cup............. the 64 ounce cup was likely really only about 20 ounce of lemonade, the rest ice......and it took a couple minutes per cup, so a line 10 deep when I got there was nearly 30 minutes before I got up to get a glass........... I bought the 32 ounce cup and said no ice!
they did sell a $41 lemonade.said it was 128 ounces
~ the dessert vendor.......nearly no line and about 6 different choices of desserts hot and cold and you could add ice cream or not, get it heated or not, add toppings or not........... $10 for the cobbler, $3 to get it alamode...$13 and it was good
summary, should have just gotten the chicken and ribs from the Arkansas vendor and the dessert and called it a day!

there was some live footage of it up, but it never showed the actual impact into the wall (apparently just a few feet short of where the airfence began)
Sad.......for local CRA events they have cones in T11 to change the apex and slow down speeds, MA decided to remove the cones and thus much higher speeds and surely a contributing factor to this crash and more so to its location IMO as a result they should have pulled the air fences down the wall another 20' or 30' accordingly........
But really, they should have never been using the short course layout as it sucks............ they should have been using the real track, the 3.1 mile 10 turn layout with the 180+mph T1 and miles of runoff everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!-- the track I raced on for 20 years....
New track variant addition is a shit show of stupid and unsafe and the dozens and dozens of crashes and totalled bikes on friday was showing that very evidently.....only 1 rider of the firt 16 crashes friday was able to ride his bike back to the pits, the rest were unrideable and required the wrecker....walls just too fucking close!!!

After they suspended all track events on friday from his death, they did drag the air fence down the wall about 20'....... (or perhaps they added another section to it...it is unclear)
the short track ..... even with airfence is not really very safe--thus CRA always has cones in certain corners to slow people down and change their trajectory!
it is far safer to run the much higher speed "original" 10 turn 3 mile donneybrook course and run through T1 at 180ish and T2 at 140ish and all of the infield shit is 45-65 for slowest speed in turn, but good runoffs in all of them ( T4 does have a water drainage ditch outside of it if you travel about 150' off track, but you certainly should be able to slow and turn long before there.....)
