And I gotta admit, she was pretty nice.. drove her home from a dealer for a friend. Red and black color scheme. Was a little over an hour ride, much of it freeway. I thought my kawi was a rather comfy bike for what it is, but man this 750 was almost plush feeling.. maybe felt like the lower half of my body was more compressed though. The power was nice, but I never really used any top end... 60mph roll on's to pass were smooth...

it was a very nice bike.

Everyone rags on the GSXRs mostly because of the tools riding it giving it a bad rep.

They are very capable bikes and indeed they are comfortable. If you got on the bike, you would find that it is very stable at speed and turns in well.

The only problem is that you need that 750 to keep up with the ZX6R and R6s. The 600 falls short on the race track in the power range.

To be honest, if that weren't the case, I would still be racing one. They are a fantastic platform.

My buddy has that exact same bike. Power difference mainly in the low rpms is pretty dramatic. As far as comfort, it was ok... I still prefer my zx6r. Its weakest point imo are the brakes.. They feel somewhat mushy compared to my bike. Both were completely stock btw. I almost considered trading my bike for one, and honestly, I'm glad I didn't.

yeah, I'll be honest. Styling wise, I do not care for the front end of the bike at all. the single headlight unit is straight fugly and the mirror indicators are also ugly... not as bad as the horribly outdated yamaha indicators, but pretty close. IMO

Still.. over all, it was a very nice looking and riding bike and I was happy for my buddy who bought it. Don't think I'd trade in my kawi, but I could respect his purchase for sure.

waaaaa!
i miss my gsxr
had the 07 which i believe is more or less the same. I would never have given that bike up.
dude who needed mine more than me is behind bars now for his troubles as far as I know. sucker.
the good news is that event brought me to the ninja.
I only remember the brakes on the z are just as bad as standard. both go soft after a lap or 2.
the 636 is for sure easier to ride, you can throw it around, it feels tiny in comparison and unlike the gsxr it doesn't think it's a rocket and have the need to go upwards rather than forward on full power.
As far as the '13 models, its interesting that Jason Pridmore achieved a faster lap time on the 636.

That is the crappy stock master cylinder. The 12+ are running Brembo Monobloc calipers, the basis for the Nissin Monobloc that we run on our current platform ZX6Rs. Throw a real MC on that bike and you wont find a better braking platform.

Agreed, but all bikes look pretty much the same in race trim :devious

Not surprising, but again you need to remember these are far from stock bikes. A worked ZX6R can put out some really impressive numbers.
after owning right around 22 bikes ive settled with an 05 750... the best yr 750 made in my opinion. lol
I cant wrap my head around the single headlight look, same with the rc8
