Hey guys just wanted to say hello, this is my first post here. I just picked up my green and black 2013 leftover today from my local dealer. I already have a 2012 zx10r, I bought the 6r to be my dedicated track bike. I've got a few parts on the way already and can't wait until it warms up a bit so I can start to break her in.
Heres my old girl...

And heres the new girl coming home...

Haha thanks, yea that sounds like fun, LI really sucks for riding. I've got a buddy up in New Hampshire that I try to ride up and visit a couple times a year and its so great to ride roads that aren't straight and jammed with traffic:thumbdown:

Where you do most of your trackdays? NJMP? VIR? Poconos?

I actually haven't even done any yet. I'm signed up for 4 days right now at Thompson Speedway in Connecticut through tony's track days. I would cry if I laid my 10r down at the track and didn't wanna be that slow guy on the fast bike at the track. Do you do trackdays? Where do you go?

You will be fine on the 636.....and I have only done 3 trackdays last season...would've loved to do more but I unfortunately highsided and broke my foot.

I have been to NJMP and Poconos.....I will warn you..you will be hooked once you start! good move on the dedicated 636 trackbike!

And trust me...636cc is plenty to pull you out of a turn and get you past the liter bikes...:devious

Damn that sucks about your foot, hopefully you'll be good to go for this season... Which of the two tracks did you prefer?

Thanks man....took awhile but im back on my own two feet (no pun intended :laugh)

And hard question......I like NJMP a lot...seems to be a bit high paced...but...its a long drive.

Poconos is closer..and I did the short course (Southeast) which was a lot of tight turns...scary...but fun.

I think NJMP is a better track to start at because its more beginner friendly...and advance friendly. Poconos felt advanced for me. Again..at least the SouthEast course

I'm sure there are others here with lots more track experience that could speak up on this though...

You've come to the right place, welcome.

Make sure you utilize the training of your trackday provider.
The California Superbike School Runs out of NJMP in May and August. I highly recommend it.
