Welcome young green Squid, where do you hale from (your profile informs us this Q)? Don't be shy... you're amongst friends.
Also, don't be shy about asking Qs, there are a core group of moto-heads that can assist with virtually all of your Qs. A great many of us do most/all of our own maintenance... and have been for years. One caveat, it's best to supply photos to better assist you. More angles and such the better.
There is a service bulletin going on the regulator/rectifier, which can lead to failure of the stator as well as the R/R. Your local Kawasaki dealer can run the VIN of your bike and find out if it was done. Another check no that is to look at the frame rails under the passenger seat. If you see a dot of paint on the rail it's probably done. If not, it's a free replacement.
Hi everyone !
I've been on the forum for some time, but I haven't had the chance to introduce myself yet. Recently, I am the owner of the zx6r from 2008, after switching from gsx-r 750. I did a little over 1000 km and the impressions are great :)
...so.. this is my ninja :
My name is ryan I have a 07 zx6r I’m having an acceleration issue whenever I try to accelerate hard it’ll get to 6k rpms and then bog out in all gears. I’ve changed the fuel pump cleaned out the fuel lines and tank. I’ve checked the spark plugs which are still good but I still bought new ones...
