I would love to free up some space and get the can out the way. Not quite sure where to start with it so thanks for the advice on searching on here.

I'm from Solihull, West Midlands. This is my first road bike but I've raced motocross for many years so I'm no stranger to 2 wheels it's just I'm usually in the air lol.
the zx6r 04 headers are direct fit if thats any help, advantage to that gets rid of the fuckn big ugly 3 bolt flange set up,and you get a wider choice of cans, the 04 manifold is allot lighter and also breaks off under the sump so you can fit a low mount side exhaust with a nice powercone which was the option i chose in the end ,i fitted a scorpion conical type sounds good too
you can do loads to the jeys ,i started on here just doing rear swing arm ,now i have done front forks, rear shock ,speedo ,front brakes ,rear end ,its endless lol, there is good few fellas on here aswell who has got some nice bikes and from uk
underseat exhaust ....waste of time .....
if you are going on the cheap 04 headers and a can of your choice
or look at ebay for a secondhand full race system
as for the 05 arm ....get the 07 the bike feels a lot more stable with the later arm when pushing it hard through the bends
drop a tooth on the front sprocket and leave the rear standard size .....it brings the J alive through the bends
ebay have a lot of aftermarket (repo) brackets to get rid of the birdcage
fit braided brake lines on the bike and dump the tokico calipers for 4 pot nissins from a 98 to 2000 ish bandit
and if you want to look the mutts nuts buy my full fairing kit off me

Thanks guys. Does the 07 swing arm fit right on? Does that mean the 07 shock will fit on too if I buy the linkage too?

What fairing do you have for sale?

What speedo have you fitted? Was it hard?
I have the 08 swing arm on my 98.. You could swap clusters to a 03/04 or newer with a bit of work, also the 04 headers is a great mod too.. I have done it as well.. Heaps of wicked info and people on hear just have a search for what you want or ask and you shall receive the info

Thanks Arron. Was your swing arm a by off bolt on job or was there some modification involved?
Wouldn't mind giving it a facelift of some sort and making it look like a whole newer bike.
why not change the arse end

I do want to put a B rear end on it I think it looks much nicer but I need to buy a spare subframe because I've got a feeling id fluff it up
The only mod you can't do to a J, is the one you can't think of ..or afford....

USD forks are next.

Wow that's a stunning bike! I like your way of thinking too.

I've been searching for info on doing the swing arm swap but I'm pulling nothing up :-(
