I traded in my 13 zx6r for a 15 r1

In a little over 2 years I enjoyed a lot out of my zx6r, did several track days, rode to every mountain in Wa adding up to about 28k miles. It was a great bike, gave me a lot of confidence with it's power, engine braking, tc, and abs. The only thing I didn't like was the soft suspension and how rolling off the throttle would make the bike dive forward.

So my impressions of the r1 is that yes it has more power. Better tc, and abs, which I can use while the bike is leaned over. The suspension is firm. Smooth throttle. Size wise it's very similar to the zx6r and turns as well if not better. 1st gear is so good that I stay in that gear most of the time, probably never higher than 2nd. This forum has been great. If anyone is thinking about a r1 they should do iit.
