anyone have any feedback on the hyperpro steering dampers? I have a 07 zx6. Originally wanted the ohlins damper, then realized they were discontinued. I know Scotts and GSR make them but I hate the big ugly look of them.

Back in the days hyper pro used to leak like crazy, supposedly they fixed that problem with the current generation but the company left a bad taste in my mouth after I crashed because of a tank slapper after I removed their damper from the bike to send it out for servicing because of the leaking

Hyperpro are in the same league as Öhlins, racetech and k-tech by now. I would not hesitate. Make sure it fits your bike though, i dont know your local laws, but if you drill a hole in the frame, a bike is not legal to ride on the road, it will not pass yearly inspection. And many of the conversions ive found to put a 09 öhlins damper on a 05 for example needs drilling in the frame. I find it hard to blame hyperpro for crashing when not having their damper on the bike.
