How does the Kawasaki ZX6R perform when compared to cars?

Do you remember about 14 years ago, the Minnesota State Police helicopter chasing an RC51 they claimed hit 150MPH?

OP - the bike is typically quicker than all but the most-exotic supercars, due to a far more favorable HP/mass ratio. Cars, if decently set up, will out-corner and out-brake a bike (but by less than you'd think). Bikes can corner hard, but need a LOT of pavement to commit and clear the turn.

The big advantage we have as sportbike riders: it's a hell of a lot cheaper than some Lotus or Ferrari (or even Ford). No other form of motorsport can the average person get so close to the speeds and equipment of a top-tier (MotoGP/WSBK) team/rider. Or, put differently, Mat Mladin on your bike can compete. You on Mat Mladin's can't. If you don't know who Mladin is, substitute in any other professional racer's name.
You have your facts wrong. They claimed the rider and bike was doing 206mph

noway nohow could that bike ever reach those speeds

fyi........... in my 312 hp/3100 lb ford mustang I can run faster lap times at the local DCTC (10 seconds faster in the car) and BIR (15 seconds faster in the car) than I can on my 126hp/429lb zx6r (the only two tracks I have had both at) -- dyno, to the ground hp--
Sure the bike will out accelerate the car, but it can't even come close to out braking or out cornering......
Some of the corners the cornering speeds are +10mph in favor of the car (4 huge contact patches vs 2 itsy bitsy contact patches)
nearly all of the corners I am atleast 1 brake marker later to even touch the car brakes, some of the fastest it is 1 brake marker later to apply and 1 sooner to let off ( I am sure 15" brembos help along with the gigantic contact patch of the rubber)---zero trail braking in the car nearly to the apex like the bike, brakes are off at turn in point
both have about the same top speed in the mid 160's

I did run upper 2:40's in the car back when it was bone stock at RA (first time ever driving a car at any track and suffering from severe brake fade every 2 laps) and that is about what I ran on the zx6r doing a trackday event.
but..... the car is now 100lbs lighter, has better brakes, better tires and 50 more horsepower shortly after that event and I am sure that would get me close to 2:40 lap times in the car. meaning about 7-10 seconds a lap faster there as well in the car vs the bike

The real question here;

Why the fuck and who the fuck buys a 600 sportbike to go race cars??????????

Just as street racing is DUMB
