I recently bought a 2003 zx6r off a guy who is moving and just wanted someone to take it off his hands. It has been sitting OUTSIDE and UNCOVERED for about the last 3 years!! The master cylinder piston is stuck in. I started taking the front brake assembly apart and instead of brake fluid leaking out, it was brake goo! So I decided to take the mc apart and try and rebuild it. I got pretty far, but I'm stuck. Does anyone know of a link or a video I could look at, to take the mc entirely apart? I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but I wanted to make sure I was doing it right, before I used brute force on it. A video would be most helpful, but any help anyone gave give me, would be MUCH appreciated!

Ive rebuilt a couple of hydraulic clutch m/c's and they were very straight forward.

Just buy a replacement seal kit, take it apart and clean it thoroughly....fit new seals and put back together.

Theres not many parts, and a few basic tools poss including a circlip tool and you'll be fine.

I did one a few years ago, Before the bike I have now.
You can buy kits, I think I followed the instructions provided.

One thing I had to have, A tool that cost me $40.00 Its a pair of pliers with 90 degree bind & really long deep pointy ends.
Iv still got it, But hopefully I'll never need to use it again.
