HELP !! 04 636 idling rough

Hi all new here and first zx6 I've just bought the bike it has a akrapovic can and headers k&n filter ad was fitted with a Pc 3 the problem I have is the bike idles rough misses clears misses up to 3k any thing after up the Rev range is fine before I removed the pc it did same but cleared after 6k running at mo without pc up to yet checked vac pipes connections it's slightly over charging at 15.12 could a voltage spike be the problem ? It's like it has a faulty injector any ideas were to look thanks lee :2fingerlol:

Best advice I can give you at this point, is to do a tune up on the bike before you do anything else.

Set the valves, change the plugs, new filters (oil and air).... then see where you are at.

My next move was to change plugs oil and filter maybe do the kleen air mod
Was booked in for a custem map but don't want to take it as it is

I agree, getting a custom tune on a improperly running bike is a waste of everyone's time, and your money. (If the shop were willing to do it at all -- I'd be concerned, if they were.)

Poorly sealed gaskets on headers and intake systems,can make a bike run very poorly.

Might be worthwhile to get a carb sync/balance tool, to see if you have equal vauum in each cylinder while the bike is running.

You may be able to spot a leak with a can of WD-40. Get the bike running and spray some around the rubber boots on each point of the intake, one at a time and observe the exhaust. If you suddenly see a lot of white smoke, you have found a leak that is drawing fresh air in that is not expected.
I would check the coil packs and make sure there firing properly maybe change plugs while your at it.
has anybody ever thought about running a little sea foam through the tank?
i do this every once and awhile, keeps the injectors nice and clean. never tried putting it directly into the throttle bodies tho. but anyways this might not be a bad thing to try just to clean out the fuel system and what not..
Hi just an update finally sorted bike fitted new plugs oil and filter turnd out to be battery was not holding charge proper fitted new batt all seems to be good

Also what's your thoughts on piping crank case breather into smog valve
If you have a full exhaust sure go for it. You can re route it and run the air into the kleen air system. If you have a stock header tho you will mess up your cat and everything since the crankcase vents pretty nasty stuff, it's gonna clog a cat
Hi yeah got full akrapovic on it been told not to run it like that as it will burn oil
