i won $2100 at the casino and im putting 400 on top of that i had saved for a damper so i got 2500 to blow on my bike.i want more power but i dont know where to start im lost when it comes to this.should i just get a pair of rims?i was told carbon fibre rims will give you better acceleration deceleration plus handling that thousands in engine performance work and parts could not do.what will make me go faster for the less amount of $$no turbo or nos.all i have is a slipon & filter.

Start with suspension. Maybe some racetech springs and revalve the forks ($300.00-$500.00). Get a new rear shock. Something middle of the road ($800.00-$1000.00) Braided stainless steel brake lines(4200.00-$300.00) Spend the rest on some pirellis. Now you can go real fast!

if i was going to blow $2500 on my bike, i'd get a shock/forks/damper, but since you said more power...i'd say akra FULLY system, power commanded, check out some induction mods, and then get the bike dyno'd by a REPUTABLE tuner. That's gonna be good for some serious added power over your slip-on and filter setup you've got now.

You'll see negligible "power" advantages from carbon wheels, it will handle better....better than $2500 worth of suspension? not even close.

pc111 with a custom dyno tune, k&n filter or bmc filter, full exhaust, sprockets and u should be good to go, good for 10 or more hp and the bike would run alot better, also do the jumper mod it's free and thats another 5 hp

i'd say full system , powercommander + ignition module, race air filter, steering damper and full dyno set up, and get the standard suspension set up for your riding style and weight, bike will handle great and the power up goodies could give you upto 15/20 bhp

I'd spend it on gas, tires and track days:thumbup

That or invest it and then use a bit of the interest every few years to subsidize new bike/part purchases:)
