Tyre life at trackdays depends on how fast you are!

Sound like you had a great time. Depending on the surface of the track and the speed that you are riding, you should be able to get a couple of days out of your tires. How hard you push it really is the indicator. I am assuming you are talking about real dot race tires, not street tires. My husband can go through a set of tires in one race weekend, which is less track time than a track day. It is a costly addiction!!!

No track time for me yet! My husband races fairly regular (around 4/5 months a year) at Willow Springs, the big track. He has also done track days at fontana and buttonwillow. We have only lived here in LA for 1 and a half years. Before that we were in portland, oregon, where he raced at PIR and did one weekend at spokane, wa. We have made the drive to Thunderhill once too, way to long of a drive for a weekend though!!

yeah, but thunderhill is worth the drive. I lived in Santa Barbara for 4 years, and the group i rode with made a weekend trip up to thunderhill, had a blast. Do you guys make it out to Hwy 33 at all, through Ojai and into Lockwood Valley?

We've done it once, early last december before it got too cold up there. Talk about amazing roads with no one on them! We were a bit "frightened" when we stopped in lockwood for gas. All the locals and a huge harley gang were out for a parade of some sort. It was like staight out of the movie deliverence! Looking forward to making the trip back out there again soon, it was worth the bit of a drive! My husband strapped the gps to his triple clamp and his actual top speed on his zx14 was 154mph. You can fly up there! Here are a few pics to enjoy if you miss it. One of the view, one of the zx14 and one of my hubby posing with my 636.
