Fi 15 issues -

Bought my first bike, got it home and started prepping for light maintenance as the previous owner said it sat for a year. Had it in my garage for about 2 weeks before i could play with it and the first time i go down to turn the key i get the flashin Fi light. After researching a bit i figured out how to pull the code and found it was 15 atmospheric pressure sensor wiring open or short. Correct me if I’m wrong but on the 07s there’s 3 sensors and this one is in the under the seat towards the rear. My question is, where can i find wiring diagrams and specs?
TIA, and I’m lookin forward to any extra helpful advice!
EDIT I’ve been told where to look and I’ve found what i needed. Thanks

Manuals and wiring diagrams are on this site somewhere - I'm feeling lazy at the moment but search will help you.

I’ll try searching that - I’ve been using fi 15 as my search and really haven’t found much - I’m new to forums too so please excuse my newness 😬

Try using your bike and service manual as in the search lol.
Yeah I’m thinkin u tried to be funny or something 🫢 try bein more of a douche next time 😉 lol.

As everyone continues to gloss over it, welcome to the forum.

Service manuals can be found free on the cite; I know nothing about you fuel injected wierdos and your magical FI lights but I'm sure its in there. Download to your phone/ipad/computer.

No. being a douche would be making fun of you for trying to find a service manual by searching for the problem

I was just being nice and pointing out if you search for your actual bike and service manual. Then you might just end up finding the service manual for your bike. And not a bunch of bullshit post about the fi light. 🖕🏻
here is the exact process that would be followed by a service tech and all you need is a multi meter any of the special tools such as harness pins and connectors can easily be worked around with a probe tool or even a paper clip. The special tools mentioned just make it quicker and easier for us but your not gonna wanna spend 800$ to save a little hassle and time on one bike. Or do. Part numbers are listed

Input Voltage Inspection

o Be sure the battery is fully charged.
o The inspection is the same as "Input Voltage Inspection"
of the throttle sensor and the inlet air pressure sensor.
• Turn the ignition switch OFF.
• Remove the ECU (see this chapter). Do not disconnect
the ECU connectors.
• Connect a digital voltmeter [A] to the connector (8), with
the needle adapter set.

Connections to ECU

Meter (-) --+ BRISK lead (terminal 14)
• Measure the input voltage with the engine stopped, and
with the connectors joined.
• Turn the ignition switch ON.
Input Voltage at ECU
Standard: 4.75 - 5.25 V DC
*If the reading of input voltage is less than the standard
range, check the ECU for its ground, and power supply
(see this chapter). If the ground and power supply are
good, replace the ECU.
*If the reading is within the standard range, remove the
seat cover, and check the input voltage again at the sensor
connector. *Remove the air cleaner housing (see Air Cleaner Housing
Removal).
• Disconnect the atmospheric pressure sensor connector
and connect the harness adapter [AJ between the main
harness connector and pressure sensor connector.
• Connect a digital meter to the harness adapter leads.

Input Voltage at Sensor Connector
Standard: 4.75 - 5.25 V DC
*If the reading is out of the standard range, check the
wiring (see wiring diagram in this section).
*11 the reading is good, the input voltage is normal. Check
the output voltage.
• Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Usable Range: 3.80 - 4.20 V DC at the standard
atmospheric pressure (101.32 kPa, 76

NOTE
o The output voltage changes according to the local at·

D The atmospheric sensor output voltage is based on
a nearly perfect vacuum in the smaJl chamber of the
sensor. So, the sensor indicates absolute atmospheric
pressure.
*If the output voltage is within the usable range, check the
ECU for its ground, and power supply (see this chapter). If
the ground and power supply are good, replace the ECU.
*If the output voltage is far out of the usable range, remove
the fuel tank, and check the output voltage at the sensor
connector [A] (when the wiring is open, the output voltage
is about 1.8 V).
• Connect a digital meter [A] to the harness adapter leads.

(see next diagram). *If the output voltage is out of the usable range, replace
the sensor.

And you can actually skip the ecu test if the sensor reads out of range. It’s just redundant to make sure it’s not the ecu causing it. But 10/10 times I have tested a sensor and it reads out of range. It’s the sensor. But the first time I don’t check the ecu afterwards I’m sure it will be the ecu and I’d be on the hook for a sensor I replaced that was good lol.

Thank you for this. I found it after the first comment but i really appreciate you not adding a snide remark with it!

if you found it, then you will know that it is under the seat, I also add that it is exactly the same as the intake vacuum pressure sensor that is attached to the air filter box on the right side, you can exchange them to check if the ECU continues to emit the Same code or change and thus know if sensor it is defective.
