I have a 2005 ZZR 600 (close enough to the ZX6R I figure)..Any how it was running fantastically the night before then in the morning I take off and it chokes then kicks in to full power then started running crappy again. It seems like it is miss-firing.

The day before I did an oil change (10W-40 full synthetic).

I took the tank and air box off and noticed the first cylinder (on the left, my left) was jolting and I could see spark (light, fire,) coming up through the throttle body of the first carburetor as it sputtered gas.

I pulled the plug. It seemed fine. I switched coils thinking that was the culprit but to no avail.

I am so confused. It was running flawlessly the night before.

Oh the sputtering, missfire goes away when I pull the breather plug out of the first carbs breather hose (at least that is what I think it is).

Problem solved. One of the spark plugs ate shit overnight apparently. replaced number 1 plug and everything was fine. Replaced all the rest after that.
Oh wow! Thanks for posting what the solution was!
