I have a 04 and I was going to buy driven block off plates on motorcyclesuperstore.com but one of the reviews for a 05 zx6r said the holes didn't line up correctly for the screws. Has anyone used these plates on their 03-04 zx6r? How well did they fit?

I heard about the same problem for the 09+. I got em anyways and they fit perfectly. Even if they don't line up exact all you'd have to do is file a bit of material out. All they are is aluminum plates. Nothing spectacular.

Not sure about Driven, as I have some from Kyle Racing. (in green by the way..hehehe)

THe block offs are pretty much all the same regardless of which brand you get.

See what kyle has. Mine went right on and lined up no problem.

I got the Driven for my '11 and they lined up just fine

One thing for me though. The Driven came with a vacuum cap for the airbox, but I really wasn't happy with the fit on my 09. Seemed like it would fall off after a while due to being inverted. Not sure if this is a problem on other models. I got a variety box of caps from Autozone, it's a 3/8" that fits my box well.

Yes sir a nylon tie fixed that. A green nylon tie as a matter of fact. I felt the same way man.

Update on this: I got the driven plates from motorcyclesuperstore.com and they didn't fit worth a shit. The screw holes were to far apart and I had to use a drill to kinda grind the holes towards each other. It was a pain in the ass but I eventually got them installed and other than that they are doing their job. So yeah.... don't buy these.

They fit my 11' perfect. Its probably your year bike. I'd recommend them for my year zx6r.

It looks like the same part number for 03-08 on Driven site, maybe a quality control problem? I guess I'll find out for my 05 when I get the plates on this week. Does anyone know if there is an error code / FI light after installation for 05-06 model? I noticed Ivan's kit has a jumper included but didn't see details.

There is a plug that hooks up to a thingy a bobber lol. You have to unplug it and all you do is use a staple, a paper clip , and what I used was a male connector and bent the end 90 degrees and completely electric taped the whole thing up.

Sorry I'm not sure what the thing is called. The two hoses you remove for the block off plates runs to it.
If you jump the plug you won't get a code.

I also used a zip tie for the plug and cut the plug they gave you shorter

Thanks for the diagram. I can confirm the Driven plates do not perfectly fit my 05 636. Had to drill out holes to make it fit, slightly annoying but not the end of the world. If they were supposed to fit this bike I'm not impressed with fitment from Driven. Maybe they only fit the 600, not sure. Either way I don't see the plug mentioned in the 08 write-up I was following. So no wire jumper used and no FI light yet...

Only part I missed was a small ~1/8" hose was also unplugged from the removed parts; I'm guessing I need to plug this as well. Race manual also shows removing that overflow tube circled '1' and capping the hole. I haven't done this yet, but if it isn't needed that might get removed too.

That's unfortunate they don't fit well from the gate. They seem like a quality product/company, you'd think they would want to get that fixed.

I had an 1/8" to be capped on the throttle body, but I had a CA edition and that is where the smog pump attached.

I have also heard you can cap the overflow tube with the bottle, but I have left mine so far and it is running fine.

By the way, I did contact Driven and they were aware of the problem although it looks like this is uncommon. Their response was quick, seems like good customer service. I didn't ask for a replacement, just let them know. Response:
Hi Jeff

We have heard of that problem about 3 times now,( out of thousands sold ) but when we bought the original plates they fit our plates.

So in all honesty I think it's a Kawasaki issue, but thank you very much for contacting us and bringing this to our attention.

Thank You

Awesome. I really like Driven stuff. Seem like a quality outfit. Good to know that they get back to you and seem concerned.
