Dont buy saddlemen seats...

I read about some poor fitment stuff before I bought mine, but it was from years ago so I figured maybe they got their shit together. Nope. The screw holes don't line up and there is a big fat gap between the tank and the seat. Definitely not worth the money. Going to have to use a dremel to make the POS fit and then there will still be the gap.

It may be an isolated incident...

I have atleast a dozen customers with them and they all fit well and are very comfortable.
:worthless:

Also... Why take a file to it? Ship that bish back and ask for a new one.

^^ this. At least give them a chance to make it right.

Any chance your bike has frame damage?

Nope. Its never been down or in any accidents. I got one side to fit with a little work on a belt sander. The other side im going to have to either enlarge the hole or chamfer it.

The gap.

The holes. This one is closer than it was before since I took the ends of those tabs off to let it push down further, but it still cant quite lign up and neither the bolt nor holes are chamfered so it just clamps as seen. No amount of smacking, prying, or wiggling will make it fit. That rivet is hitting the frame so it just can't go any more.
Pic upside down, sorry.
