just wandering what the difference between the zx6r and zx6rr are. i have never went to a dealership and saw a ninja say zx6rr on it....?
when the zx-6rr was out it was a 599 cc engine and the zx-6r was a 636
The zx6r @ the time had a 636cc engine and was outlawed from supersport competition, so the made a racier version with a 599cc engine to qualify for competiton. However, they stopped using the 636 engine when the 2007 zx6r came out, so there hasnt been a zx6rr sincewhen the zx-6rr was out it was a 599 cc engine and the zx-6r was a 636
well yeah the ninja 650r is crap lol its like a cruiser with a somewhat sporty bodyYeah but the ZX-6rr is the fastest Normally Aspirated 650cc class motorcycle in the world. PERIOD!
Not 650, but 636.He didn't say a Ninja 650R. He said a ZX6RR whose engine is no longer 599ccs, but rather 650cc.

Thanks. Tell those guys the Throttle Nation Top Speed Challenge is in Maxton, NC September 24-25. We are out to defend our title for the 3rd year in a row and looking to break the 1 mile World Record for the class. That mark is 184.161 mph. Yes it is our record, but we want to move it up. We went 183 in June at Maxton.I went to the Kawi dealer in Loveland this past Friday to pick up a filter for my RR... they were still thinking that one of their guys has the land speed record in the 650cc class. I didn't realize you beat the record by that much. Awesome job sir!!
