just wandering what the difference between the zx6r and zx6rr are. i have never went to a dealership and saw a ninja say zx6rr on it....?

The zx6r @ the time had a 636cc engine and was outlawed from supersport competition, so the made a racier version with a 599cc engine to qualify for competiton. However, they stopped using the 636 engine when the 2007 zx6r came out, so there hasnt been a zx6rr since

650cc is a racing class. It's where the break in class comes. 500cc-650cc-750cc. The point is the 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6rr is the fastest in the world in the 650cc class on engine. 190.118 mph. The rr was the perfect platform to work from.

I went to the Kawi dealer in Loveland this past Friday to pick up a filter for my RR... they were still thinking that one of their guys has the land speed record in the 650cc class. I didn't realize you beat the record by that much. Awesome job sir!!

We are out to defend our title for the 3rd year in a row and looking to break the 1 mile World Record for the class. That mark is 184.161 mph. Yes it is our record, but we want to move it up. We went 183 in June at Maxton.
