My 2018 Kawasaki Zx6 R has a cold start problem , engine doesn't start , any1 knows what the problem is?
Some times the engine starts and dies in less than a second. The bike is less than a year old
When I try to start the bike - gear in neutral ,Kik stand down and kill switch on- I push the starter button but nothing happens, i hold it down but still nothing happens, it keeps getting worst with time , a few weeks ago when I hold the starter button down it sometimes starts after around 2 seconds , a week ago the engine started but died after less than a second , today I held the starter button down for around 4 seconds untill loads of check lights pup up on the cluster. It always starts eventually but only after a few tries , any idea what the problem is? I attached a vedio of my problem down below
Thanks

Have you’ve taken your battery in to get tested? During the times you don’t ride, is your bike sitting outside or indoors? What is the weather like where you live? I would start with the battery first, then go to the kick stand and see if there is any debris there. Sometimes it does happen. Make sure all the wires are connected and has not loosen up.

I ride once a week lately because its not great weather where I live lately, most of my rides are more than a few minutes long, I average around 12 minutes long minimum. I thought it might be the battery but I thought this might of happened a couple of weeks ago when I went on Holiday and left the bike for two weeks but the bike started from first try with no issues what so ever . I am worried that the problem is because of the ECU because I saw a lot of threads talking about ECU issues with same symptoms as mine, hopefully its just the battery
Thank you

I adresed this issue to the mechanic in the dealership last time I serviced my bike last month , he told me it might be the battery and that he will charge it if it is required, after that the bike was fine for a few weeks but now the problem is worse. I always park my bike outdoors when am not riding it. It is very hot down here so I keep it under a shade and I cover it if am not going to ride it for more than a week . I thought it might be the battery but I have some doubts , I will take it back to the dealership tomorrow and see what the say
Thanx for the reply

Your battery does not appear to be charged. How many of your rides are more than a few minutes long? How often do you ride the bike?
