Sup guys, I’m thinking it’s a miscellaneous piece that I need to maintain the tension in my clutch but not sure what specific piece it is. The more I screw the sliver ring with the treads the more tension I lose in my clutch. any solutions.

This hunk of junk example of a zx6r........... (see the attached picture)

the lower adjuster at the clutch cover is the primary adjuster, then go up and do the fine adjusting up top.....


so........ screw that top adjuster all the way into the perch (tons of cable free play)
then go down and adjust the two locking nuts at the clutch cover (you could run out of adjustment available down there, but take up all you can)

then go back up top and adjust to the proper free play (you should have less than zero tension!!!! ) you NEED FREE PLAY !! about a pennies width between the lever and the perch is about right
