has any one upgraded the speedo i was toying with the idea of putting b1 clocks on a j the plugs look the same and i think the looms will the same as it used the same motor apart from a few small changes as afar a i know it dose

You'll have to rewire the plug, but that's it. There's a light that'll stay on anytime the bike's running too (down on the lower right i believe). Nothing will be wrong with your bike, so disregard the light. Most guys remove it or electric tape over it.

i rewired my plug to run the 03-04 636 gauges and it works fairly well. if you do the 05-06 ones youll need a speedo healer

Iv just been looking at some 07 clocks on eBay dose any one know if they can be fitted to a j1

right they are on and boy was it a lot easyer than i thought it was going to be ill get some pics up in a bit once im home would any one know what engine temp sender i would need for the temp guage to work??

not sure may have to go with a 07 temp sensor, i had to go with an 03 one to get my 03/04 gauges to work. just check what output range they are and compare them to the 07 gauges

and now the new ones look good i think lol

note the really good milage i now have

Did your clocks have the speedo cable go into the lower left side?

Where does it go now on the new clocks?

ahh if u have a mechanicel speedo it wont work it needs to have the sender from by the front sprocket as its all electrical sorry to put a downer on thing the other option is get a j1 engine in there
