Anybody willing to give these a go?

Transmission bearings

I'd have to see what the OEM replacement cost was before I used those. Not being a racer, it probably wouldn't be worth the cost to me.

However, ceramic bearings are supposed to be a tremendous improvement.

I would probably do them in my wheel bearings when they need replacement and I'm sure I would do them if I was buying after market wheels.
ceramic wheel bearings are over $400... i'd love to have them but not at that cost
OEM steel bearings would most certainly be cheaper. That said, there is a significant reduction in parasitic loss by using ceramic bearings for the transmission.

The actual gains from running these are miniscule so unless you are chasing tenths of a second in top-end racing (or just feel like having cool stuff in your bike with disposable income) there is no reason to have these.

I have found that for wheel bearings, I use steel. Again, the gains from running ceramic bearings is very small, and even smaller still on a wheel bearing where you are required to run a dust seal.
