Hey Everyone,

Let me start by saying I hope everyone is having a good season either on the road and/or on the track. I was able to get a hold of 3 photos from my last track day at PittRace. I rode with N2 for the first time (Novice Group), and was lucky enough to have a coach switch me every lap by either following or leading for the whole session. I received some good feedback on things were I can improve. I hope I say these right, and or they make sense.

1. I turn in late compared to most. (I was informed this wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as I can keep pace, and hold the line)

2. I continue to follow the turn more then I need to. I instead should and come out of the turn wider and stand the bike up sooner. Because I continue to turn in, someone would easily get past me as they would already be upright. By fixing this, I would shave some time off the lap.

3. The amount of lean angle on my bike is impressive. With that, I am able to control the bike, and again continue to hold the line and pace through the turn. (This is the 2nd time I have heard this, from two different coaches from two different organizations).

So, as I am trying to learn and improve each track day. I figured I would ask you guys. I know it is hard only seeing it from a photo and not a video. But If you guys have any thoughts on improvement of my body position, I would like to hear it. And yes I understand I am on a GSXR600, but I feel that I will receive more feedback here then the other forum.

I believe I am coming out of turn 5 at PittRace which is coming up the hill. It looks like the photos were taken in the order I posted them in this thread.

Seriously... I might know who that N2 coach was.... lol.

You were riding well... and had the rain not come so early and you had the opportunity to work on the advise giving... you clearly would have rode much smoother and more on the correct line.

Your entry was good..... however remember the two cones at apex that show you the direction your bike should be traveling... you were over shooting that.

And so.. while sweeping the track is fun... you were a bit exaggerated.

Cheers to you. You had some awesome lean angle.. but don't let that bite you as you pick up speed.

I have to admit, I didn't see this coming. Hilarious

Thanks again for the for the feedback. That note about the two cones helps. I already had forgot about it. I will try my best to work on that sweeping. Although I had a set of rain tires, I didn't want to risk it, as I am scheduled to ride VIR on the 15th, NCBike on the 21st, and Summit Main on the 22nd. Hopefully I can fix some of these issues over the next two weeks.

Who's doing NCbike on the 21st?? I didn't think they had motorcycles that weekend. N2 has an event there the following weekend which I'm really thinking about going to. Need to work on some things as well. @Backmarker, are you going to NCbike that weekend to coach? Anything I need to know before, since I haven't ridden with N2 before?

I will not be at NC Bike.

However N2 normally runs 3 groups / 20 min sessions.

I feel they are the most organized club you can ride with.

Hook up with a coach early and they’ll be happy to show you around.

I'm pretty familiar with the track, I just need more seat time. I was so far off the pace on the Aprilia at NJMP this past weekend, it was embarrassing. I was only like 2 seconds faster on it than I was on my 400! lol You gain more than 2 seconds just on the straightaway, which really means I was slower lol

I plan on doing all day Saturday on it, and maybe a couple of sessions on Sunday as well, and then finish up with a few sessions on the 400. Hope the weather is good.

Are you signed up in Novice or Intermediate for the N2 weekend at NCBIKE?

I have no idea. I just signed up for it last night actually, and nowhere did it ask me for the group. I even checked my profile to see if it was on there and i didn't see anything :O How the hell do you pick the group with N2?? Other orgs let you choose when you sign up.

Ideally I want to be in advance group. I've been riding advance for like 5 years with every organization I've ridden with, plus having an expert CCS license...one would think it would be ok.

Couldn't remember if you had an expert license or not...good news is that you get to go straight to the front of the line with an expert license. :D

Drop an email to [email protected] , give them your N2 member #, and explain that it's your first time with them and you have a valid CCS expert license. Maybe take a photo of it and attach it in the email so there's no doubt. Doing this ahead of time will just save you a little headache the morning of, instead of having to do all that shit track side.

to me, looks like your bum is in the right position and you are leaning off not too bad. Try moving your head down and forward a bit as if trying to kiss the mirror.

you seem to have plenty of lean angle - not sure i would be wanting any more! at that angle your knee should normally be touching down???
