Here's a description of the event:
East Side Moto Babes, established in 2010 in Los Angeles, is an all-female motorcycle club that rides and races motorcycles. By encouraging and promoting camaraderie and community between female and male riders alike we build skills, confidence, and bonds that extend all over the world. We challenge stereotypes and build bridges through our events and rides that promote safe riding practices. By being inclusive we encourage others to come along for the ride which for us is more about challenging oneself, facing fears, personal courage, and empowerment.
Each year ESMB puts on an event called BABES ON MOTOS where every female rider that rides out on her moto gets her portrait taken on her bike by a guest photographer, this is the 5th year: BOM5! We have been documenting female motorcyclists in Los Angeles for 5 years and are creating a great archive of Los Angeles' female motorcyclists. Please join us on SUNDAY, AUGUST 3 from 2pm - 6pm for #ESMBBOM5, and be part of history in the making with over 200 motorcyclists and over 40 local women riders documented and celebrate Los Angeles' female motorcyclists with guest photographer Shaik Ridzwan from The Mighty Motor
(The Mighty Motor).
BOM has proven to be a super fun afternoon for all ages with food, music, and a raffle. BABES ON MOTOS is also ESMB's largest event of the year and a fundraiser for the club with a raffle with prizes donated by awesome companies in the community. Part of the proceeds are donated to a charity and part goes back into the club so we can create more events that bridge the community and promote female riding and wrenching. We are trying to save enough to get a clubhouse where we can have a garage space of our own and host workshops. The event is as much collaboration as it is a documentation of our growing numbers in Los Angeles and the MC community
at large. Come celebrate this movement with us.
