I have a 06 636. I have had problems with water getting into my gas tank when exposed to rain. At first it was just bogging and lack of power right after a little rain fall. However after a good day of steady heavy rain the next morning the bike wouldnt start because it had a good 3 litres or more of water in the tank.

When i took off the gas tank to empty it out, i noticed that the overflow tube was qinked. Ever since i unqinked the tube it hasnt been a problem.

Basically i am wondering it anyone has had similar problems. If you have had these problems, what did you do about it? and if you havent done anything about it, check to see if your drain tube is qinked.

Water is supposed to drain around the raised portion and out the overflow tube - I can see where with the overflow tube kinked water would fill up that outer bit and could make its way in. I've never had that issue, but to my knowledge I've never had my overflow tube kinked or clogged:O
