Hey Zx6R community,
My name is Steven and I just started making some videos and would love for everyone to check it out and let me know what you think. This is my brother and I catching a morning ride in Los Angeles, CA. My bike is a 2003 Zx6R and my brothers bike is a 2008 650R both Kawasaki's.
Would really appreciate the feedback from everyone. Happy Holidays!

Feedback:

You and your mate are dumbasses.

Evidence supporting that feedback:
* The link you embedded uses SSL however this site does not. For some browsers it means your video won't load/play.
* Every second of that video is cringeworthy.
* That video documents and publishes you both committing several crimes. LEO's have the Internet tubes.
* That video documents and publishes you encouraging illegal behavior, which is against the terms of use for this site.

I hope you enjoyed your YouTube view.

But in all seriousness, every one of us have done some sort of dumb riding In our past whether it be high speeds or recklessness. It's fun and exhilarating for the moment. This type of riding never turns out good. You'll end up in jail or seriously hurt and possibly dead. We just lost a fellow member here, and he was more than likely not riding recklessly.

Thanks for the feedback i understand your guys position on high speed riding and i respect it. But show some respect yourselves, this is the way i ride and i have been riding like this for a long time. This is what i feel comfortable doing. That's the great thing about America we have differences of opinions. The video you posted shows a squid rider who has no control of his bike going at a high rate of speed. "You are not a car so dont drive like one."

I wasn't gonna judge on the illegal riding, since I already judged your buddy on his lack or riding ability/knowledge in your other thread, but I can't help myself when you give such as a ridiculous reason...."This is what I feel comfortable doing"?? Seriously? Murders and rapist feel pretty comfortable killing and raping, so does that make it ok?? It's all fine and dandy if you want to live on the edge, most of us do, hence we ride sport bikes, but it's not you I care about. It's the random innocent people that you're going to hurt one day when you run into them because you lost control. It's just like drunk driving. The people that end up suffering most are the ones that did nothing wrong and were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, as well as their families. Just because you "feel comfortable" doing something, doesn't mean you should :coocoo

If you want to ride like that, take it to the track, or at least roads that have very little traffic, not busy highways and roads in California!

Well welcome to the forum.

Watched a good 2 minutes,, go to the track. Yes I'm addicted, lets you get the need for speed out without the big moving objects that hurt when you meet one.

Read several comment's so I won't continue the lashing. I'm sure there will be more to follow.

Might also add to gear, jeans don't do squat for asphalt. You will need them to do a track day anyway.

The funny thing is you guys just make yourself sound dumber when you start throwing insults. I didn't ask you guys to tell me how to ride lmao. If you don't like the video, move on. I'm not here for everyone approval. I'm not asking you to ride with me. Also I would think any car would do more damage to me then I would do to them. The only life that's at risk is my own. Thanks

OP, I don't bother watching videos of people who ride aggressively in traffic. There is only one outcome to that. Hopefully you will figure that out before the point gets driven home. I don't know what you expect to hear about your video. If you want to post up on a public forum about how much you misbehave in public and record yourself doing it..... that's a special kind of intelligence, there. If/when you start getting tickets in the mail, or officer friendly starts hanging out in your neighborhood and you have conversations with them -- try and be a man about it and admit you brought it on yourself.

I am fond of saying if you can't stop in the space that you can see, you are driving too fast for conditions. I base this on the physics of the thing.

If you hit a stationary object at 25 MPH, you hit that just as hard as if you had jumped out of a second story window. The best body armor in the world doesn't help when you come to the sudden stop at the end. Most studies done on motorcycle accidents have investigated many hundreds of crashes. The consistent results reported across the board all say the same things..... too fast for conditions, failure to navigate, improper license, possible intoxicants, etc.

The most famous study of all was done in LA in the early 1980's. The Hurt study covered every single motorcycle accident in LA for a year and reported the same sets of information for every one.

The vast majority of accidents involved riders with no training. These riders consistently had accidents about 6 months after buying their bike, and crashed within about 1/2 mile of their home. The majority of the time, they did not have a motorcycle endorsement.

I don't need to watch the video to know you have no clue what is meant when someone says counter steer.
I also don't need to watch it to believe you couldn't describe front wheel loading.

Good luck. Hopefully you live long enough to become a bit better educated about something we share a passion for.

Wow! Are you really that ignorant?? You don't think a 400 lb (not counting your weight) machine traveling at over 100 mph and impacting a car would do significant damage to it and the people inside?? It does. And it has happened. A bullet does a lot of damage and it's fractions of a lb. Speed and mass --> momentum. You should go take a physics class.

This is a hell of a way to introduce yourself to the forum. This video makes me wonder why someone would introduce themselves like this. Were they thinking others would find this cool or be impressed? I don't know, only you do, OP. But, it's clear from how defensive you've gotten over what others have written whatever reaction you were expecting from the members you didn't get it. It's time to cut your losses. The people on this forum have actually given you and your brother some good advice, advice that might help keep you alive. Whether you heed it and learn the easy way is your choice. I just hope you learn before you and/or your brother's lives become a proverb.

Oh, and btw, you've got a lot of guys on here who ride track and some are even instructors for track day riding schools. Trust me on this, they way you and your brother ride isn't going to impress anyone.
