I recently had a frontal crash on my '13 636 and as a part of the rebuild I'd be in need of replacing the front rim, which got chipped in the accident.

Does anyone have any opinions on these rims on eBay, which cost around 180 bucks?

For Kawasaki Ninja zx6r 05 12 Ninja ZX10R 06 09 Front Wheel Rim Matte Black | eBay

Even on sites that re-sell OEM parts, the front rim is about 650 bucks.

Are these eBay rims a viable alternative?
Anyone ever tried them?

Any info is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Never tried cheap chinese wheels and never will. $190 for a brand NEW wheel?? I would run away from that.

They may be good though, but personally I wouldn't risk it. I've bought plenty of chinese made bike parts off ebay that were really cheap. I've had mixed experiences with them, but ALL of them were parts that were not structurally critical. I would hate to have a wheel failure at over 120 mph!

On top of that, according to the title, in won't even fit your bike. Doesn't say that it's good for '13+....only '05-'12 zx6r (not sure what the difference is though). If you want to keep costs down, I would just buy a used wheel that's in good shape. I bet you can find one for around $200 or so.

Any other chinese part I might give it a try. But wheels....prolly not. Kinda hard to trust Chinese metal.

Nope, I'd pass on non original wheels. The thought of having them possibly crack/break/snap going over a bump while at high speeds is enough to steer me to get original ones.

Just my personal opinion.

How bad is the wheel? Any photos? Have you taken it to a professional wheel repair shop? There are specialist shops that can repair damaged wheels. My friend went over a nasty pot-hole and dented both rims. He got them fixed up at a pretty reasonable cost which was WAAAAAAAY less than buying two new/used wheels.

There's so many years of ZX6 that the front wheel is compatible to yours...... buy used and be done with it. Before you install it, have it inspected by someone who knows how to look at cast parts to ensure it's safe.

I'd be surprised if other Kawasaki models, as well as other brands are interchangeable. Kawi makes motorcycles, not wheels.... that's all subcontracted work. Chasing the part back to the vendor who supplied it to Kawi, is one way to expand the volume of parts which can be used. Larger range, more sources, lower prices.
