Recently picked up a 95 zx6r. Ugly and spray painted with cracked fairings that were already removed and cheap walmart fog lights installed for headlights. Doing a streetfighter build.

Last night I ordered msr atv bars, protaper pillow grips, bar mounts, bar end mirrors and a pair of 2x4" rectangular led lights.
Tank and plastics are going od green and frame and swingarm are going white. Eventually to get kryptec mandrake vinyl on tank/rear plastics and kryptec yeti vinyl on frame and swingarm.
Going for this look but updated for my bike. Pic is of Icon Operator build

Thanks. Yesterday I went through 5 coats of aircraft remover to get previous paint off the tank. Been repainted so many times I lost track of what colors or how many were on there. This morning I started on sanding and paint prep. Using 180 da paper and a small sanding block then gonna move to 220 paper. Just gonna do the tank for now. Need the bike rideable fairly soon. Will post pics of prep work today when the weather lets up a bit.

Tank is finished not professional quality but pretty good for krylon I'd say

Sanding is probably the worst/hardest part of paint prep. You seem to be doing fine, keep it up!

Tank is done. Lights are on. I know she's ugly but once i get the pastics painted, number plate built and headlights relocated she'll look fine.

Msr atv bars are in. Still waiting on mounts though.

Msr bars measure out like 8 inches longer than stockand probably 7 inches taller.
So should I build my number plate out of an old street sign I've got lying around or wait to find an ammo can to cut up? I'm torn.

Got the msr bars on and everything hooked up. Had to relocate where the clutch and throttle cables go. The wiring was just barely long enough to work. Actually almost everything was barely long enough to work.

Front turn signals and rubber ducky are mounted. Definately looks nothing like the bike it was inspired by. It would be alot different if i couldve found 3 40mm ammo cans to build my panniers and numberplate/headlight mount.
