45 > 47 tooth sprocket/change queston

What will happen if I put a 47 sprocket on my chain I've has 45T on. Will I need to move my rear forward a great deal and mess up my handeling? Give some feedback. Thinking about changing the sprocket in between races. Possible without putting a new chain on, and if so, worth it?

Puuting the larger sprocket on will move your axle forward making your wheelbase slightly shorter, though I doubt you will notice it. Shorter wheelbase quickens the steering with the downside being slightly less stability, but like I said it's probably not enough for you to notice.

Good to know, I'm thinking about trying it out, possibly in a TD to see how it feels first before a race
As Todd said, two teeth won't make much difference to the length of chain needed...you probably won't even notice the difference in the position of the rear
