I got mine ecu flashedmy lees too I had my rev limiter raised 600 more rpms so it redlines at 16000. Every gear redlines at 16000 except 6th won't go past the stock 15400. So there for I'm not getting any more top mph does your do this too?

ya I got the RPM bump but IDK about the 6th grear limiter. I will have it dyno'ed soon so I will find out. I dont have to balls to find out on the freeway. Did that once and I am good. lol

Yeah let me as soon as you can I've top completely out 3 times 171 was the fastest but I was hoping to get over 175 with the rev limiter being bump 600 but nope won't go past 15400

That's seems right! I topped mines out at 165 stock. Also lot of it is gearing too.

But I will let you know.
hey man..love the reviews you do...feel the same way about my 2014! can you get the flash specific for what exhaust you have? i did some research and found all the things that specific flash does but didnt see if they changed the air/fuel ratio for certain exhausts or if it was just a generic tune

DUDE That is what I am talking about!!! 125 to the wheel is great!! On a 600 I beat that thing really moves now! Could you please list the mods you had on at the time? 125whp is my goal for my bike!

HAHAH! I am glad to have awesome fans! Yes the 2014 636 is an incredible bike!
I know of few flash companies that can do custom flash that can set up fuel maps. Check out KAWASAKI

Ecu flash , k&n racing filter, smog block off, two brother slip on , gutted cats and a good dyno tune that's pretty much it as far as engine stuff goes oh and a PCV
Can you list out everything that got changed when you had your ECU flashed? I have a 2013, and I bought a Bazzaz Z-FI and Z-AFM last week from Hard Racing, but it hasn't gotten here yet. I'm really looking forward to getting that installed so I can set up my fuel maps. I'm not planning on riding until it warms up and stops raining (so maybe by the end of the month or sometime early next month). Also, what was the turn-around time from sending your ECU in to getting it back? Also, how long have you had the ECU flashed?
im dont really remember everything he did youll have to call someone that does it to get specifics. like i said i had mine done by leesperformance they have a wedsite too, it was $100, i over nighted it to them on monday (because i dont have patients) and i got it back on friday.if you have them do it they will call you when theyre doing and tell you eveything theyre turning on or off. i bought the bike in june last summer i want to say i got the flash in august so i really only have a few months of riding time with it done

I called Lee's Performance a little while ago to get more information about what gets changed in the flash. I didn't know that the stock ECU pulls timing above 12k rpm and that the secondary throttle blades don't open all the way either. I don't red line the bike often, but it'd be nice to have that power in the higher rpms too. I'll probably get my ECU flashed in a month or so. I've spent too much money on all these other parts over the last week.

Ya Kawasaki has a lot restrictions built into the factory ECU and when U get the ECU flash it just changes the bike into a bad ass! I love the ECU flash! worth the $100. Plus with the flash u don't need the servo or a servo buddy. I can tell the intake note is louder at higher RPMs cuz the throttle bodies actually open up all the way!

Turn around time is quick! (couple of days) and the guy is super cool.

Good to hear. Couple of questions though. I have Driven Block Off plates on order as well as the Bazzaz Z-FI and Z-AFM. With the exhaust servo disabled and the pair valves disabled for the emissions stuff, do I still need anything plugged in for the exhaust butterfly valve connectino and do I still need to "jump" the connection, or can I just leave them disconnected and be fine (maybe wrap them with electrical tape or something to keep the connectors clean)?

Also, with your ECU flash, has your gas mileage suffered much if any? I'm expecting my gas mileage to drop a but (maybe) after I tune it with the bazzaz unit, but not sure if the adjustments in timing or allowing the throttle bodies to open up completely will lower it too.

O yes the gas mileage has dropped but not cuz of the flash lol I love to rev the bike to hi heaven all the time Plus I got my M4 Slip-on now and I love to hear her scream! But normal driving the MPG is the same.

Also you don't need to anything plugged in for the exhaust valve. Just get he ECU flashed and take off the servo motor.

I have a 2013 NINJA 636, bought an M4 GP slip-on, question is do I need to have my ECU flash? I keep hearing people talking about flashing their ECUs, what does it do and is it necessary to have it done?
Do I need to flash the ecu if I bought a PCV? Or if I get it Dyno tuned somewhere will they have to flash it when I get it tuned?

No you don’t. I ran an air filter with no muffler from 500 - 8k miles and the bike is fine! If you want to gain some power and relieve the bike from all the factory restrictions to make the bike run really smoother than yes ECU flash is great. No u don’t need it but for $100 I am sure glad I did it and I love it! And if you want even more power PCV with tune will maximize engine power. But remember it not about peak power but the area under the dyno curve aka POWER EVERYWHERE!.

No you don’t need an ECU flash to run a PCV. Again the restrictions the ecu flash will remove will help make more power with the PCV.
with the pre-made ecu flash (lees or similar), do I need to have a full exhaust or i can keep the stock one ?
