Hi Guys,

I was wondering if I was the only one with a camshaft
problem with a brand new bike (1 500km).
My bike has already been parked for two week now
because we are waiting on back order part from
Kawasaki Canada (I am from Canada, Quebec)

I am very disapointed, it's my first bike and I already
have problems with it ! :bawling:

You are going to find out that you are unfortunately not alone. My son is in the exact same situation. Had bike 2 weeks, went into the shop with torn up shim buckets and cams, waiting on parts. It sucks. I called Kawasaki customer service and was told that they have ship dates of 9/27, 9/30, 10/3, 10/10, and 10/21 for the new parts, so we could be waiting for parts from one week to one month! I also asked if there were any other recourse for addressing this problem and she said no, with the exception of extending the warranty for the period the bike is in the shop. The dealer has to call it in, but if your bike is in the shop for 6 weeks, Kawasaki will extend your 12 month warranty out for 6 more weeks.

I don't know if where you live you have winter (with snow...) but
where I live I do. And the season is almost done. If it keeps being
like this my bike will be parked untill next avril...
In canada they where offering me the same *extended* garuantee
and trying to sell me an extra one... Yeah right ! LOL
When my baby (bike) will be back home, I won't leave this situation
like that.... NO WAY !

By the way, it's a funny question, but what color is it ?
And under what word should I been looking under for my
search on the problem ? I don't know many words for this
problem....

Thanks for giving me answers,
Steph

Good luck Fanny.

My bike was in the shop for close to two months and I also live where we have a short riding season.

I guess it Kawasaki's way of helping us keep the miles low for resale.
