Hello all,

I'm brand new to this forum, all your help is appreciated.

My 2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R has been running fine until 3 weeks ago, I left it in heavy rain / light snow (accidentally) and I haven't tried to start it since.

Today, I tried to start it this morning. Bike started fine and even when I choked it up to 2000 RPM it was just fine... once warmed up, when I tried to rev it, it died. Since, it starts and idles, but once the throttle is pulled, it shuts off.

See video at zx6r dies when throttled - YouTube

Did anyone ever deal with this? Any pointers?

Oh no..... You got water in ur tank. might need to clean out the engine. That's what happened to me when I first bought this bike... I just have it to the dealer and have them take care of it... Costs me around $400... them dealers with kill you, but what can you do.... You got a choked up bike filled with water.

+1 on the idle screw seems to be idling pretty low should b between 1000-1500 rpm there is a air screw located on the left side its a black knob with a clear hose attached to it. I believe tightening will raise the idle and loosening will lower it.
