There was a kid in my buddys kids school choked to death on some tic tok challenge. Had somthing to do with swallowing a condom. No joke. I forget the details it’s been a year or so. I tell ya tho that app is single handed ruining kids these days. My daughter is 15 and she isn’t allowed to have any of that shit. She has a Facebook her mom monitors and logs into. And I’m barely ok with that.
What’s interesting is it’s a China app. And the Version China kids have is all about education and learning stuff. Look into it. Very messed up situation. China may make junk shit. But they ant dummies and know exactly what they are doing. A country full of sissy’s crossdressers and girls can easily be took over

I use to be against the idea of controlling if and how people have kids. But now. Well guess that depends on who is in control. But just today I was out riding and pulled into a dollar store to take a break this van pulled in with this lady and I bet I seen 8 kids climb out of that damn van. Running around like jungle kids. Van was held together with tape and dreams. Her sucking the life out of cig before she tossed it. And I felt bad thinking. “That van could drive off a cliff on their way home and the world as a whole would prob be better” And I understand people struggle and need help. But why keep breeding when you can’t even fix the broken taillights on your vehicle. I’d bet my life she was section 8 and getting 5k a month on her food stamp card and statistic show everyone of those kids will just repeat the whole cycle. Breeding like roaches.
Case in point...............

This is what the dumbing down of America turned into, a bunch of worthless losers who are incapable of doing anything but being parasites and losers...........

That "man" should have been beaten more as a kid!!!!!!!!!!! he certainly needs it now more than ever, but had it happened young he would already know.................. he needs to learn to man the fuck up!

Be a good idea just to look at the oil in it also. Not a guarantee but would be worth just making sure it looks good. Are you going to be able to run a comp check?
Take a look at the coolant as well…. Go so far as to smell it.

I was wandering If still in the bike or how he was planning to check everything. Sometimes ya just gotta have a little faith lol. I have least 5 different engines I know of that guys have bought for me to replace and they be worse than the ones I’m replacing lol. One guy got 3 . Last one was good.

and true story here . a fz the guy blew the motor. Drove 2 hours got a motor brought it back. I said were is all the oil from. He said. Uh I guess it’s where it’s just not in the bike. Huh??? Right behind the intake area you could look down and see a hole. I said you sure it ant coming from that hole. “Oh that’s supposed to be there. My last one was like that”. I said. Umm dude I can see your crank. No motor ever made you can just look down and see the crank lol. “So you think it’s bad”. Nope. I don’t think. I know. 🤣😂. Evidently people will sell and buy anything off Facebook marketplace.

If it's actually worth bringing home, before you stick it in the frame do a full tune up on the engine. You will never have better access to the valve train Take advantage of that.

So maybe I’m giving more credit than is due.
Yes you are. My kids can both change flat tires, change oil, swap tires winter/summer and do other basic maintenance. They are anomalies among their friends, most of whom barely know to check oil once in a while. There are a few with mechanical aptitude, but not many. Some of them don't drive at all.

My youngest got his motorcycle license yesterday, so they are both legal on bikes now, too. To be fair to the ones that know nothing, they aren't necessarily stupid. Mostly they just never had an opportunity to learn. Lots of single mothers, absent fathers and a general loss of competence among the population means these kids just got shut out of the experience of learning to work with their hands.

I thought she was alone so took me by surprise so I said. “Are you just gonna sit there while I do this”. He said. “Omg you’re so right. That would be so dangerous if I stayed in”.
That is the quality of men we are raising in cities these days.

Not just some bad decisions, but generations of bad decisions stacking up there. My partial solution to that is to make voting contingent on paying taxes. If you are a net tax payer you get to vote. If you are a net tax taker you get no vote. Also, all government employees don't get to vote. It's a conflict of interest for them to have a say in their own paycheck. Only the productive people who generate actual economic activity get a say. If you don't like not having a say then get a job and support yourself.

Anyone and everyone who gets any form of government subsidy or works for the government should be disqualified from voting! (sans military personel)

that would eliminate likely half the population, because you know those subsidies go to coorporations (thus all employees and subcontractors of said coorporations are disqualified from voting), and bottom dwellers just alike.......

It is usually drained as well, but you can pull the oil filter and cut it open and look at what is in the pleats.......
I drove to MO a few years back to get an engine for a customer..(ST1300)...it was still in the bike so I could hear it run- no front end on the bike so no driving it, but I clunked it through all the gears and got to see the odometer (if those were actual from that bike-21k if I remember right) etc.....

then we started the removal process--which ended up being hacksawing off (sawzall actually- right through the frame and the water hoses etc) the twisted frame at two of the engine mounts and part of the frame came home with me........
the fork lift guy did drop the engine trying to put it on the pallet...uggg

luckily it was only about 6" off the ground, but still...... I ended up having to swap valve covers and a couple sensors as a result

Customer said it always vibrated more than it used to.........
and maybe it did? I never got the chance to ride his bike before or even hear the engine run as he had tried to save himself the $600 tune up costs and do it himself and dropped one of the shims down a sparkplug hole and cracked the block and was eating all the coolant.........
Thus he ended up trading it in at a dealership a couple hundred miles from his house on a brand new FJR1300

I wonder if he even got back the ~3k it cost for the engine swap....... (after doing that bike I raised the engine swap price on those bike to double or triple what it was listed as. what a royal pain in the ass)

So he dropped a shim down the plug hole. Then just decided it would be a good idea to just run it? How’s that work?

I was working on a 3.6 in the shop not long ago. This Kid works there came over asked if I had a 8 mill. I said yea it’s right over there on the fender. I dint have that side covered cause I was on the driver side. Dropped the socket it bounced twice went right down the plug hole. It took me several hours but I was able to fish it out. It’s been a few months that kid still want look me in the eye lol. And I was prob a little rough on him but he is just that type to manage to screw anything up. Mounts tires backwards. The dealership was founded in 1936 I’m 44 and been involved since I was 11 and to my knowledge he is the only one to ever turn a fork lift over. And he has done it twice. Once backed right off the loading dock the second going up the ramp with only one side of the tires on the actual ramp. I told him that day to not come within 10 feet of me or anything I’m working on. I may extended that to 15. It’s been pleasant

I really like your mindset. And you are 100% correct

For 8 years now I do a free summer camp for boys. Mostly kids I train but we allow any of the riders who really can’t afford much else to come. I use to encourage dads to be involved because 15-20 boys can be a bit of a handful for a week. But I noticed none of them have dads. . We mainly concentrate on racing skills but the last few years I have noticed that 99% of them can’t even do the basics. Chain adjust, tire pressure, oil change. Nothing. So the last few years we spend a few days in the garage. Working on there bikes. Last year I paid attention to how many actually have fathers in the home. 3 out of 15 have either a dad or grandfather. The rest. Single mothers. It’s mind blowing. And the majority of these kids are hungry to learn. And some of them just hungry. We have groups who donate to help the cost. Mostly food. But it still cost me several grand to run the camp. I’m so burnt out I say I’m not going to do it anymore and then I see the kids and think. Well. “Something has to be done or these kids will grow up repeating the cycle of morons”

like with your kids and My son. Just fixing little things and changing tires and stuff is just shit grew up doing. It’s just basic stuff men are suppose to grow up doing. What I see lost the most is troubleshooting. They just can’t figure anything out. And I guess without having that basic platform of learning and fixing stuff you just loose the ability to figure shit out as you get older. The world is turning to shit slowly and people just can’t realize it.

In 20 years if your pc breaks there will be millions of people to fix it. But If your car breaks goodluck finding someone

Tell your son congratulations on the license. Huge milestone! 👍 and stay safe.
