I own a zx6r 2008 that I ride almost everyday through the year . I wrecked it last July,, into a kid that was sneaking his dad's Camaro out for the night.. my bike sat in impound ,till last month ..by the time I got out the hospital my impound Fe e was over $1,000 ,, so I was not able to get it out ..luckily I stopped by last month ,,and asked if my bike was still back there in the lot ,,and they said yes ,,, so my bike sat there since last July ,, and I offered them $500 to get her back ..so in getting it back ,,my wiring harness was tore up.. I've ordered a new one and installed it,, clean the fuel filter ,,change spark plugs,, and added other body parts to it so I could ride , but my bike won't start where do I start can anyone help me...

Not trying to be that guy..... Run on sentences are hard to read. That makes it more difficult for people who could and want to help to do so. If it's too much of a pain, chances go up you miss out on that help.

First of all....... Glad you're with us. May you continue to heal and be healthy.

Second: pictures of the bike will help diagnosis.

Third: bikes that sit crashed in the weather for months of years develop problems other bikes won't. How it acts will give some indications of why it won't start. The list of possibilities is long.

Guessing you already replaced the battery?
Have you download the shop manual for your bike from this site?
Do you own a multimeter?

Was the bike on it's side during impound?

Glad to hear you are on the mend and recovering well.

I would check your tip over sensor if the bike went down then maybe thats still tripped. My wife crashed my ninja 250 a few years back and it wouldnt start for a few days. When I started taking it apart to fix it I shook the tail where the tip over sensor was then tried and it fired right up.

Good luck with the rebuild!

What hurt worse for her. The wreck or the spanking for wrecking your bike?

Thank you so much for the reply ,, well let me start with the pictures ,, and yes I own a multi meter, no I havent got a new battery,, I'm getting 12.8 to 9 voltage reading ,, I've narrowed it down to my fuel pump isn't getting any power from it's plug in source and my injectors aren't getting power either would that be my relay ,, I know fuel pump comes on when I wire it direct,

Thank you ,I've made sure that it was up right ,but I will check it and see if it's still good , I've narrowed it down to my fuel pump and injectors aren't getting power to them , would that be in my relay

That almost sounds like a tip over sensor triggering that. They will cut fuel and spark. Can you confirm you are getting spark and it’s just the fuel being cut? Relay cab easily be tested or swap with the other one there and see if that resolves the issue.
