On these bikes the bars/clipons or in my opinion just for track racing,I can't get happy with them ,it feels like I have to force my elbows in,
In new to this sort of bike and have come from motorcross .
Also what a missile have not even been past 10tho yet .
Why anybody would need more power than this is insane

The bars are made for racing because it's a race bike with headlights...haha. That's like complaining that the suspension is too stiff on a 1-ton pick up ;)

Good news is, you can get aftermarket ones that can be adjusted. If you haven't got past 10k rpms, then you haven't even got to the power band yet! Welcome to sport bikes!

It's to force you in to an aerodynamic position when you tuck in behind the windscreen. It's much more comfortable when you're hanging off while cornering. There's also better feel with clip-ons since it's directly connected to the front forks.

You'll get used to it eventually. If not, get a standard/naked bike with conventional bars.
I know I'm moaning like a bitch, first time I rode it I was like o no what have I bought,
if I get into attack position it does feel right BUT I'm not going to be riding like that for some time,
I sat on loads of new sports bikes at motorbike show and my zx6r feels much more aggressive on the bars set up,the triumph 675 felt like half the width weird

Just took out the triple clamp nut and moved the clipons around half the hole showing to try
As riding with elbows in sat up feels stupid

It's the design of sportbikes. If clip ons didn't work to get you fast lap times, they wouldn't be on them. Every uncomfortable attribute on a sportbike is intended to get you fast lap times and be [relatively] comfortable while in attack mode. It does not translate well in to street riding. You can get raised clip ons, but you're still going to be pitched forward.

Use your core and legs to hold you up rather than your wrists and arms.

Or sell the ZX6R and get a more comfortable bike.
Yeah I'm gripping with my legs and using core, used to that coz of mx. it's just how my hands are Angled to the brakes without elbows in ,
New gloves and jacket too so it's going to take time when weather gets better to get used to it all,
Lovely bike and with a few little tweaks I'll be there
I got the knox handroid gloves which tighten to my jacket well and make things rigid
Ok, you need to "unlearn" your hand/arm position coming off the dirt bike. It's no longer elbows up and wide apart head over the triple clamp. Your elbows are in to get them out of the wind. These bikes are made to work at 120+ mph not at 30 like your dirt bike. It's all about aerodynamics. Elbows low and in on the tank.

When you go to the track and start hanging off, you will find that you can let your outside arm wrap around the tank and you can use it to hang onto the bike.
