    just getting a zx6r that was a little damaged and the stator leaked oil. the bike ran fine but I replaced the stator cover to fix the problem. now after replacing the cover when I start the bike it runs for a few seconds then it shuts off.     He is trying to fix it up... When he starts it, it runs for 8.3 seconds and shuts off. This happens everytime around 7-8 seconds it shuts off. It sounds like he shut it off himself, no sputtering or anything.. Any ideas why?
