speedometer issues

So I recently bought my new beast of a bike to find out that the speedo doesn't work correctly, it reads like 4/5 mph when I'm going 30. I saw that the speedo is actually off of a 05! is there any way to fix this? everything else works fine. will a speedo healer help me out or should I not waste...
