rubber

hey all, i'm new to the forum here so i don't know if this has been asked yet but how do metal grips measure up to rubber grips? I don't ride like a granny or anything and i heard that metal grips offer less grip than the rubber ones but, a lot of the times i wear gloves anyway. was thinking...
