kn air filter

I have a K&N KA-6005 air filter from a 2005 zx6r that needs to be cleaned. I recently got the K&N Recharger 99-5000, but I want to make sure if it would work for my air filter. I'm sure that Recharger Kit 99-5000 is meant for cotton air filters, and my K&N KA 6005 is made of cotton gauze...
