Does ANYONE make an aftermarket clutch cover for the 05-06 zx6? I cant find them anywhere, and to be honest it's a tough bike overall to find race parts for. Gets kinda frustrating. :headbang:

Thanks, i appreciate the help, although i've exhausted those possibilities. I have nrc covers for both the stator and the ignition, which is what they consider RHS engine cover, but the clutch cover for that year is this weird paradox that nobody wants to tackle! Tried gbracing out of the uk too, no luck. I guess i'll just have to avoid crashing on the right side ;)

NRC makes some racing case covers for your bike. They're not as flashy as the Woodcraft but theyre a little cheaper.

yeah i actually have the NRC covers for stator and ignition, but for some reason they dont make the clutch cover:O

I'm a manufacturing engineer at a urethane casting factory. We make some pretty tough formulations that would work well as an extra guard over the factory clutch cover. Since I just bought an '05 ZX-6R racebike a few weeks ago, it would probably be in my best interest to see what I can come up with.;)

I'll take my spare cover to work and talk to our chemist about which formulation I should test first (we have hundreds to choose from)

I'll let you all know what I come up with.

It appears we've hit the proverbial dead end

Sorry, I no longer work at the urethane casting company, so I no longer have that avenue to make parts.

However, I'm doing some of my own work with composites and I'd be willing to make a nice and strong carbon fiber/kevlar prototype if someone wants to just pay for the materials.

Here's the one piece self-supporting carbon fiber tailsection I'm making for my race bike:

It'll weigh right around 5 lbs when I'm done. The next one will be even lighter.
