Does it matter? If I were HRC, I'd get rid of Lorenzo and just have a 1-man team with Marquez. They need to keep raising his salary anyway, so save a bunch of money by not paying millions to a 2nd guy that can't even get a top 10 to save his life.

Supposedly the agreement HRC has with Marquez is that they give him a 2 million euro raise after every championship he wins. He's won 6 so far, so that's 12 million just in raises! Not counting the initial agreed sum from 2013 or other bonuses.

I love PI.

Eventful race.

But wow...Lorenzo. Why even bother going out? It's a shame that (perhaps) Dani got pushed out to retirement to bring this scrub into the fold. How does a guy go from being one of the 'aliens' on one of the factory teams to being someone most Moto2 riders would blow by in a few short years? Definitely needs to retire and give that Honda seat to someone more deserving. I don't buy that it's a one-rider bike...this is 100% on the rider.

Ho hum. Another race, another Marquez win. There is almost no point to watching now, it was obvious from at least the halfway point he had this one in the bag, again. Didn't expect Maverick to crash, though. It was nice to see Binder kicking ass and taking names in Moto2 while Alex struggled. At least one championship is staying interesting. Props to Dalla Porta on the Moto3 title, he won it in style.

I have to agree. Whatever is wrong with him physically and mentally, he shouldn't be this slow with both tires flat. Until this year the guy was likely still the fastest over a single lap if he was happy with the bike. Now he can't even beat the bottom tier guys on the same bike that is winning everything. I'm hoping his problems are more injury related and he is able to heal and get sorted for 2020, but it is hard to know because we have seen so little of him over the last half of this season.

Me neither. I can see the Honda being a "one rider only" bike in the sense that only one is capable of winning on it, but look at Crutchlow. On paper he's definitely not been at the caliber of Lorenzo yet he can be top 10 on a satellite Honda every weekend, with some occasional podium runs like this weekend. There is no excuse for being dead last and so far off pace. When you get beat by Abraham and Syarhin, you know it's time for you to pack it up and go home.

Maybe with Lorenzo itís injuries stacking up over the years. Maybe he has old man fear. Maybe his conditioning sucks and heís not working out. Thereís just no way the factory Honda is that difficult to ride. Crutchlow is proof of that.

Just finished watching qualifying. Nice to see Quartararo win one over Marquez and to see fate pay Marquez back for being a dickhead.

Yeah that was definitely a clear case of "Karma's a bitch". I like Marquez but that was just stupid. The whole time I was like "come on dude, don't be a dick, you don't need to follow Fabio the whole time and now your tires are getting cold"....and then he high-sided himself to the moon and almost everyone passed him...SMH

I think that was his 2nd worst qualifying ever being in 11th place. He could've just went out on his own and done a lap probably fast enough to put him at least on the 2nd row.

Nevertheless the Yamahas seem to be strong this weekend. I'm kind of betting on all 4 of them being in the top 5, with Marquez being in 3rd place.

Wait what happened? Was he just following FQ instead of running his own qualifying?

Yamaha finds some pace when it doesn't matter. I want to see a season long battle not one rider always winning everything. It is comical how MotoGP is always sending me emails trying to create excitement about the upcoming race weekend. Forget marketing get some good racing going with several teams in contention late in the season.

And AM is the first to win Moto3 and Moto2 titles, from what I understand.

Marquez brothers set a BUNCH of records today. They really should bring AM onto Honda's 2nd seat and just make it a family business lol.

Yeah but i feel like that's kinda BS. Only because they changed the name to Moto 3. There are a few others who won Moto 2 and 125s which was the class before it was called Moto 3. Or looking at the entry level and mid level classes, there are several people who have won both. The Moto 3 class as it is today is quite new...2012 was the first year.
