Fearless forecast

1) Petrucci - Factory Ducati #2
2) Pedrosa - out (too old, no real upside)
3) Lorenzo - out (too expensive, too much drama, maybe a mercy Tech 3?)
4) Miller - Pramac #1
5) Mir - Honda #2 (still hoping they would offer it to Rea though)
6) Bagnaia - Pramac #2
7) Baldassarri - Suzuki #2
8) Ianonne - KTM #2

Wouldn't that be a hell of a news headline to see...."Former champion and highest paid MotoGP racer without a ride for 2019". I would laugh so hard if I saw that!

This is gonna be interesting. My guess is he either goes faster than any F1 driver has gone in that car at that track, or he crashes it in a wall trying lol

Marquez to test a Formula 1 car | MotoGP?

There is one more wildcard which could be added to the Silly Season puzzle, and that is Jonathan Rea. According to the estimable Mat Oxley, his manager Chuck Aksland was present in Le Mans. Rea would very much like to make the jump across to MotoGP, but the man who is dominating in WorldSBK will only do so if the conditions are right. That means a ride on a competitive bike with a factory or factory-backed team, and of those, only the seats at Repsol Honda and Factory Ducati are available, with a possibility at Pramac Ducati if Miller wins the factory seat. Rea's problem is that no matter how much he deserves such a shot, the team bosses do not seem inclined to give him one. That is a tragedy for both MotoGP and WorldSBK.

Why do you say that would be a tragedy for both MotoGP and WSBK? I can see it being bad for WSBK, because the trend of him winning will continue, but I'm not sure MotoGP will suffer in any way if he doesn't go. There's plenty of great talent in the GP paddock as it is. Rea wouldn't change much.

Should Marc VDS end up at Yamaha, I'm sure that Yamaha would have a say in who would got a contact as their satellite rider.

I HIGHLY doubt they would be ok letting Lorenzo back on a Yamaha, factory rider or otherwise.

He better take his $12mil Euro and his arrogant ass to the dealership.

Probably just trying to get a few more Euro out of Kawasaki or possibly Ducati for next year in WSBK. The GP paddock has more than enough upcoming talent and good riders already on the grid for a factory team to take a gamble on Rea IMO.

Guess we'll see how it pans out in a few weeks though.
