Hey from Swansea, South Wales

Hi, new member. Recently passed my bike test, have been riding trials off road for years but decided to get my full licence done.

Have a 99 Zx6r, love it!

Got lots of questions but not totally clueless about bikes so hopefully can contribute as well

I am incredibly jealous of you riding trials...... beyond any shadow of a doubt, that is where all motorcycle stunt riding should occur. The absolute right tool for the job.

The stuff that can be done is phenomenal.

I have to think that the increased weight, and overall speed is going to give you some issues when you decide to start exploring what you can do with a street bike, LOL.

Haha yeah, its worlds apart! I think the only thing shared between the 2 is the fact they both have 2 wheels and an engine!

Trials is a great laugh, I sort of came from mountain biking, then trials, then fancied getting my licence, originally to ride classic trail bikes in the on / off road trials but... the ZX6R came knocking so... why not

The montesa never fails to amaze me, its such a well built machine. Fingers crossed the 6R also falls into that category

It's a lot easier to get ballistic on the ZX...... top speed in first is probably faster than top gear, on the Montessa.... With 4-5 times the mass involved. less steering lock, less suspension travel, loads more speed.

Dont get carried away!
