Hello everybody, my name is Chris and I´m from Germany.
I work on motorcycles for a living, I´m a trained motorcycle mechanic.
I recently bought a black 2019 ZX6R 636, which already has been slightly modified
After I sold my track spec Daytona 675 R in 2017, I wanted to go back on the supersports. At the moment I´m still breaking in the engine, 100 miles left to go. I´m planing on going back to the racetrack with the 636, but only a couple days this year. Maybe next year I will go for a full track build, we will see
Here are a couple pictures of my ZX6R. As you can see I already swapped the exhaust for a SC Project GPM2 from the previous model, removed the exhaust servo, swapped the original rear axle nut to a titanium one, mounted Ohlins steering damper kit + GB racing engine covers and did a tail tidy.
Next to come is to remove the charcoal filter and mount braided brake lines directly from the master cylinder to the caliper, to cancel the ABS.
As for now, I´m totally happy with the ZX6R, it has lot´s of potential. You can actually compare the engine to the 675 triple, it has also low and midrange grunt and a nice linear powerband.
