Color me jealous, that's one of my favorite color scheme for this bike.

I'm halfway between Richmond and Fredericksburg.

Is this a new interest, or a lifetime thing?

What's the situation with regard to gear, and training?

I'm in Chesapeake as well. I use my zx6r for track mostly, but have a sumo for street. DM me.

Must be a 50 thing.
Bought my Triumph tiger on my 50th.

Hope you have many happy years with the bike.

Welcome, only 50! You are young, LOL sold my ZX6R at 64 and am regretting it except when on a long ride on a straight road :-)

Not new into bikes...but new with a modern bike. I'm a garage tinkerer and have been rennovating/mad'ing bikes for a while. Just finished a really cool 96 VFR750 (used CBR1000rr fairings and seat...custom subframe). have a few others in progress. Last "modern" bike I had was a 93 GSXR750 I bought new then. LOL!
Plenty of gear but will be putting time into really learning more on the bike about technique, etc. Not a big track guy but would like to do some to more with this one as part of the training.

Going to look for a track/training scenario.

Good to hear it's a lifestyle rather than a fad. I rode my first minibike in 1972, @ 11 yrs old. Living in the country without a large amount of oversight allowed my brothers and I far more opportunity for mischief than most get. We were far enough out in the weeds that a trip for parts was at least a 25 mile round trip. You learned to fix it yourself, or stop doing whatever it was.....
