So I bought a bazzaz with the auto tuner (z-afm) for my 2011 zx6r, I did some more research on it and I found out in order to get an accurate AFM reading I need engine block off plates. I even called bazzaz tech and they also said I did. My question is since I have to remove the smog pump, will it throw a code or something? If it does how do I get around it? All options are appreciated!
Ok I'm new at doing this kind of thing lol. So the pair valve is what the plates cover right? How would I jump the connection? And what kind of resistor should I use? I guess I don't know how that whole system works
Just leave the wires connected to the pair valve and tuck it aside. Put the block off plates on and you are done. You will never see the pair valve anyways. Why mess with the wires? I left mine. It works fine. No codes.
I believe I put a jumper wire in place of the valve (??).... and then you just run a hose between the ports where the valve was..... you don't have to buy the flat plates.... and yea...plug the air box
Plug the air box with supplied plug. I plugged the pair valve too but left the wires connected and tucked it out of the way.
