Hi guys
hope someone can give me some pointers. I just ordered my new clutch and will be my 1st time doing it. Ive been reading some websites where they say you have to soak the clutch plates in oil before you install it. My question is, can i soak it in full synthetic oil? The oil in my bike is Full Synthetic oil and i heard your not suppose to mix the oil with regular oil. Im not sure if the clutch oil is using the engine oil or the clutch has its own oil. Hope someone can help.

Thanks!

Bikes have what they call a "wet" clutch. Meaning the engine oil lubricated the clutch as well. The only fluids that go in your bike are engine oil, fuel, fork oil and coolant. To answer your question, you should soak the clutch plates in the same oil that goes in your bike.
