Okay so i bought my bike 3 days ago and now im being paranoid. Okay so i have a few questions. when my bike hits around 5000rpms it makes a slight buzz like not quite a vibration but kind of. its got a scorpion slip on exhaust if that makes a difference, but my question is is that normal? it doesnt last but a few seconds or untill i throttle hard and get above like 6000 rpms. Also how loud should these bikes be when idling? i hear some slight ticking but is that just normal valve chatter? its not to loud but can be heard. Any body have any input on either of these things?
further info. The bike is a 2004 zx6r stock except lowered, and slip on. it has 6400 miles and i am the third owner, oil was "changed" every 1500 miles with fully synthetic.

i had a buzzing at the same rpm i tracked it down to the two adjusters for throttle slack there is a little piece that holds them apart and it slid down it was a pain in the but to figure out and as far as the ticking from what i have read they all tick in some way the shop i took mine to said if it goes quiet then be worried

can always calm the tick down by tightening the CCT. ive got 31,xxx on mine and bearly ticks.
