Guess the bolt???

I brought my 2011 ZX6R home from the track 2 weeks ago and put it up on the stands. About a week ago I changed the tires front and back.

Yesterday morning I found this bolt slightly off to the side on the floor. I looked all over the bike for a hole looking like a bolt should be in it and see nothing. I know I didn't unscrew it from anywhere on purpose and it's hard to think about how it could unscrew itself all the way and fall out after 2 weeks of sitting in the same place on the stands.

Does anyone recognize where this could have come from. It has holes in the bottom and top like it's for fluid, but nothing is leaking, brakes work front and back. Bike starts and runs fine.

It's 1 1/2 inches long.

It's definitely a banjo bolt for the brake system....
Does your bike have ABS? I forget if the 2011 years had it. If it was from the caliper or the master on the front or back you should notice that pretty quick

No ABS. I thought the same thing, I've been all over the rear and front master cylinders all the bolts are in.

There is no brake fluid leaking and the brakes work fine.??

+1 On brake system bolt that fell out of somewhere else. You would know if you lost that off your bike because your brakes would not work, at all, and you would have brake fluid everywhere.

Anything can kill you. Pick something fun.

If that was removed or fell off of your bike you'd have no front or rear brake. If both work, it was stuck in the bike or kicked there.

+1 on me being a complete idiot.

I figured out what it was.

I changed the front brake lines like 3 years ago and that is the old bolt. I have NO idea how it ended up on the floor right under my bike, but it did cause a small panic.

Thanks for the replies.
