I believe I was just miss reading everything. Turns over manually just fine, only thing is ct is at its maximum to apply tension so either I miss measured chain by a tad or intake guide is more warn than I could see through inspection but Everything seems to be in order though. So down the road when cct isn't cutting it I'll probably have to replace chain and guide or both.
Is what it is.
Still going to pull timing rotor to see if I can shave off area to remove chain without compromising the area that supports exhaust guide. If it looks like it then I'll do that when come time to change chain. If not New motor if and when.

? :O It doesn't need to apply tension, it's only there to keep the chain from slapping around. This is why manual tensioners are such a bad idea......

The auto CCT simply limits the slack, rather than applying tension. Very difficult to tell where an auto CCT is actually setting itself, as they ratchet all the way out when removed. That's why they have to be reset, when reinstalled.

Omg don't say that lol. I'm confidant in my abilities "I retained some shot from mmi" but this is an old bike that was overly neglected. It also had a hydraulic tensioner from some random bike in it... Didn't blow up after it carb rebuild or my first valve job on it nor after the CA emissions delete. So "crosses fingers" after I get anti seize for the exhaust nuts tomorrow I'll bolt header back on then radiator/fool. Fab up a makeshift aux fuel bottle and get her running.
Still have so much to do Damn it.
Forks, steering stem bearings rebuild petcock ECT

While at TDC, the cam timing marks are correct on both cam sprockets???

Double check, then triple check your work........ last thing you want to to be wrong on cam timing

if so then you are good to go on starting

I highly doubt you could ever extend fully any auto cam chain tensioner without the chain being broken or one of the guides completely missing (or not installing it at all)
So I bet you are only using the normal 10-15mm near the begginning like 99% are when everything is put together properly....

I see bikes all the time and when you look at 100+ cam chain tensioners a year and can see the wear marks on them from how far they travel then sit, (clicker types are often only 8-13 teeth out (1/3 max of travel) and some have finer teeth than others thus the desparity........ the hydraulic ones and those like like you show I measure them all the time at about 10-12mm and occassionally as far as 15mm out.........they can go more than 30mm out, so more than 40mm)

Bike runs great but now I have a fuel leak coming from I think between carb one and two.....all the carbs have done is sit on a Fucking bench. Fuel rail?
I did Prime it a few times

Grrrrrrr Fuck me
Is there gaskets for those connectors between each carb?

Sorry to hear that, happy to know you've got the time invested to this point, that you're going to make it right. Take a good look at all the vacuum lines, too. If those O rings are expired, the vacuum system has to be shite as well......

And the culprit, if you pressed against then while running, gas would leak out past the seals. I guess you could call it the fuel rail that's fed from fuel pump. Going to hardware store and getting ones that fit tighter.

Oh and I notice this when i rebuilt carbs, replaced all jets seals and connecting points. Someone ham fisted it.

Great success, now if I can just fish out the long tube for the pet cock that's in the gas tank. Throttle return is hanging a little. Stupid cables, would like replace.

One of the tabs for #2 velocity stack is broke, will need that eventually.

Do the throttle cables from the zzr600, zx6r j work on the g1/g2

Edit: petcock rebuilt and fuel tube reconnected.
I will finish burping coolant system tomorrow and triple check everything but then I go ride.
