Interesting, the one you have linked above seems to only mention for jacket use only. Although as you scroll down there's a picture of a guy in a full suit. My guess is with jackets being usually a loser fit than a full race fit suit, you might not need any special expansion features.

At 2.9 pounds I believe it is lighter than the A*, which is close to 5 pounds if I recall.

Looks like you buy the vest then you can outright buy or lease the airbag/ data deployment unit?

I didn't think it was wearable under any jacket. I thought it was only certain ones that are designed to expand, so any that would be also compatible with the Tech-Air system. Or maybe they're just assuming jackets are generally a bit looser and can support this, whereas race suits are supposed to be tighter? Not sure...

The Plus Racing Invader suit is designed to expand in the torso area so it can work with the IXON vest. I'll know more in a few weeks when I get it.

On my plane back from Italy I sat next to a Dainese store manager lol. He explained to me what the lawsuit means for Alpinestars. They can no longer sell their products in the EU and need to pay Dainese for the lost profits. They still have not filed lawsuits in the USA so Alpinestars can continue to sell here... for the time being.

After wearing my squid suit on my Thai scooter I decided it was finally time to pull the trigger on a new suit.

Decided to go with the Atem V3 over the GP-Pro. I was not sure when or if ever I was actually going to get the tech-air system. They also came out with a V2 of the GP-Pro which will not be available till July. V2 has a lot of improvements I like, but I can't wait till July for a new one. The Atem also has a bit more armor and better knee protection IMO, this was something that really helped me make the decision.

I haven't ridden in the Atem yet, but the suit feels very nice sitting on the bike. The stretch panels are insane compared to my current suit. Leaning off the bike doesn't feel like the crotch is going to tear in half, and the A* is much lighter than my Vanson (obviously).

I will say the Atem has much tighter calves than the GP-Pro. Once it is on this isn't an issue, but getting it on is a real taint buster.
The Atem is also maybe a quarter of an inch longer in the legs and arms, this is hardly an issue for me when on the bike...but it's an obvious difference between the two suits. The arm diameter of the Atem also must be just slightly tighter, it is a little more restrictive in the biceps region than the GP-Pro...although I expect this to stretch out fairly easy.

Overall I'm happy with the Atem at this point. It is really quite comfortable when I get it on, which is actually not hard compared to some suits I tried on. The Atem also feels very mobile compared to my old suit, I'm sure the stretch fabric and leather stretch panels really help here. Once I ride with it on I'll try to follow up with a better review!

Looked into the IXON and for $400ish for the air system, then about $400ish for the license..........

Then they say you can recharge and pack it yourself for 3 inflations then they want you to send it in for inspection
since it is protected by the suit and won't get rashed, this seems reasonable
they told me it is about 2 week turnaround on inspection, improvement

I am looking at a custom Plus racing 2 piece that will incorporate the IXON for street use......
told $1149 for 2 piece kangaroo with all the bells and whistles one can have- which doesn't sound terrible, now to think of a color pattern
you know it will have some kawi green in it!! but my bike is red, so white as a primary, some red and some kawi green? or maybe white, black, kawi green?
decisions decisions

woohoo we are having fun now
Stupid people say stupid things on the internet, so be wary of who those people are. If you solicit advice on the internet, just keep in mind 99% of what you'll receive is not based on fact or science-and likely atleast 95% of it is based on bullshit and bravado regurgitated from some other schlub who also did not experience any of what they claim and are also full of shit. If you don't like my bluntness- too bad. I am not here to please you, so move along, your approval is not desired nor is it needed. So before opening your pie hole and adding more stupidity, perhaps sit back, listen, absorb and learn something. You know that saying, it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

My Plus suit is supposed to arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. Once I try it on and confirm that it fits well I'll start looking more into the IXON. I'm also not too clear on the license part, but even with that the price is less than the Alpinestars version.

Here it is. Got my Plus suit today. Fits pretty well for a first try-on. Once it breaks in a bit, should feel even better. Upper body feel is already more comfortable than my old 7-year old Alpinestars.
